After you read this post, you may think that I’m a handywoman. But actually, I’m not --- yet. I am still learning the ropes of home maintenance and improvement. I’ve am continuously reading a lot of resources online and also applying the tricks and tips at home. You might ask me why. Well, here’s why.
Just a week ago, I noticed that there’s some sort of foul smell in my house. And you know me. I don’t put up with foul smell. I don’t even put up with dirt. LOL Being an Obsessive Compulsive girl, I always make it a point to clean my house. But little did I know, there were things that I missed big time. My drain pipes are among them. And I guess the biggest culprit was that I didn’t know how to clear blocked drains and sewers. My bad. :(
Apparently, drains also need to be cleaned regularly. Aside from preventing clogs, keeping our drainage lines clear will also avoid other inconveniences such as sewer backups, slow-draining and here it is ---- foul odor from coming out of the pipes. I didn’t know what to do that time so I called reputable plumbers in Lafayette CO. They came to my home in a service truck that’s quite impressive. It’s complete with all the tools and equipment that they may need for any rooter job.
The plumbers looked clean, nice and professional. They checked where the foul odor was coming from and found out that it’s from the bathroom and kitchen drains. They checked the drain pipes for clogs but didn’t find any so they went outside and looked for my cleanout plug. They inserted a camera in the drain line to find out where the clog is. In just a short span of time, they were able to pinpoint the location! Hoorah! Afterward, they showed me how to snake a sewer line. It was something. I’m telling you. I won’t be touching that machine ever. HAHA
Anyway, they completed the job immediately and charged me a measly amount. I was pretty impressed! So if you ever experience this problem at home --- and I hope you won’t --- you should get drain unclogging services in Lafayette CO ASAP! Don’t ever let the problem get any worse. And because I love you guys, watch the video I shared above. It’s going to teach you how to keep your indoor drains clean!
