SEEING THE LIGHT PHOTOSÂ
These are all my final potential âSeeing the Lightâ photographs from all the shoots I done for it. I like them all so much so will be hard trying to pick a final 4 but Iâll just knock it down by picking the ones that have the best techniques and have what a portrait should have in them. i.e a catch light in the eye, good lighting around the face and eyes in focus. Also need to make sure they follow the brief and have used ways of enriching the natural daylight. It would be good to have a different range of photos for my final canvas as it would be better and more interesting. I already have an idea of what 4 I want to use so will put them all on a canvas and play about with them until I am happy with how it looks.Â

OOPs Project Task
The idea of this was to take a bad photograph using as many of the wrong techniques as you could think of. After shooting the image we were then to open it up in Photoshop and edit it badly as well and complete a checklist spreadsheet to tick off what you did and did not manage to do. This was actually quite harder than expected as you can always take bad photographs but when you are actually expected to produce a bad one it can be tricky. My group decided to go for a couple of different bad techniques for our photo in the shooting stage, these included;Â
A very slow shutter speed while hand holding the camera
Over exposed and out of focus
A bad composition/angle for a portrait photoÂ
People walking into the frame, i.e a distracting background.
Wrong white balance
Wrong ISO
Then for the editing stage we decided to edit it to make it look even more worse, to do this we done a various different things, including;Â
Increased the colour saturation and vibrance right up so the colour was totally off
Increased the contrast to a high amount as well
I enjoyed doing this as it was fun to take a purposely bad photograph and edit it badly as its obviously something I never do. Im pleased with how my groups photo turned out (badly).
