Methinks Marvel, since its being acquired by Disney, may be starting to get a little too ahead of themselves to the point of getting hackneyed, with the ensuing franchises suffering Dilution of Value thanks to Disney’s “exploiting natural synergies” across its several platforms. Which we all pay for.
By contrast, sometimes crossover may be necessary to creating imaginative fanfic concepts galore; I’ve demonstrated this in this blog many times. Not just with fellow Hanna-Barbera characters, but also with a few Old-Time Radio shows. Oh yes, and the Moth Monday feature, which could be imagined as an ur-crossover unto The Moth Radio Hour (not to mention being something of a reply to Warner Bros. Animation’s seemingly ongoing crossovers of certain Hanna-Barbera animation franchises with the WWE, whose brand of “professional wrestling,” as we all know, is but sham and farce).

((Awww, thank you so much for the kind words, lovely! <3<3 As for how I do the glitches, it’s a bit of a process because i don’t actually know how to animate, but I’ll demonstrate XD(Edit: Okay so this turned out to be quite long, so have a readmore xD <3) keep in mind that the text glitch is designed for dashboards and doesn’t always work on blog layouts because of color and size differences)))
Alright, so, say this is the text I want to gaster-fy and glitch:
*The Doctor knows.First I go to this website: http://fsymbols.com/generators/zalgo/ (there are multiple zalgo websites, but this one has good customization)These are the settings I use for the generator, so the words are still legible:
basically everything is set to minimum and only bottom is checked. then I copy paste the new text into an ask, like this:
After this, I save it as a draft to save my progress. Then, I go into my drafts and take a screenshot of the text I want to glitch, like so:
Then I open a paint document, and try as best I can to select only the white area and take out the blue ones (usually I just select the white square manually by dragging the mouse and then copy paste it into a new paint file so the image is the same dimensions as what it will be on tumblr, or as close as I can get it. this helps the text from getting too stretched and warped with tumblr’s image resizing.)
(and after grabbing only the white)
Then I tend to save it as ‘title 1′ or something, for example, in this, I’ll name it ‘example 1′
Now comes the fun part, distorting the text. I take the same selector tool and make rectangles and squares and move them directly left, right, up, or down of their original location:
I do this a few times depending on how big the block of text is. for this, I will only do it twice. As a bit of added pickiness on my part, I try not to overlap changes the first time around
(we are basically making frames for a short animation, the first frame being the original image, the second frame being the first glitch.)Next, I save this as ‘example 2′ and then repeat the process, distorting the image more.
I then save this as example 3. I tend to only do three frames, unless I REALLY want to mess up the text. The more you repeat the process, the more glitched the text will become. This next part is a bit tedious, but only because I don’t really know how to use windows movie maker or any sort of animating program. But it is easy to use, and I’ll describe it the best I can.
I go to a free online gif maker, this website here: http://gifmaker.me/ Before I upload any images, I go here–
and then I look back at my paint file for the dimensions of the image–
and change the dimensions accordingly. Don’t worry about the slider and percentage number.
Next, I upload examples 1, 2, and 3.
You’ll see the images and you can drag them to reorder them. You can also see a preview above where you entered in the dimensions of the image. Below the dimensions, there is an option for the Animation speed of the gif. The bigger the number, the slower the animation. I usually do something between 100 and 250. Keep in mind the faster the animation, the more frames you will have to upload.
Now is the tedious part. You have to reduce the glitching to give people time to be able to read the text in between the glitches. This involves uploading example 1 over and over, about 10-20 times. this time I did 10 times.
you’ll notice if you uploaded the images in order that they don’t really look quite glitchy, and this is where I have found the following order of frames will work out really well: (you will have to upload example 2 one more time)
example 1 (x9), example 2, example 1, example 2, example 3. You can order them this way by dragging and dropping the images up and down on gifmaker.(apologies, gifmaker makes these small)
if you put the frames in this order, the glitch will loop with a long enough pause in the middle to let readers see the text. Watch the gif in the preview afterwards, and see if that’s about the right speed you want. In this case, I’m going to make it a little faster by reducing the animation speed from 200 to 150.
And once you’re satisfied, you’re done! Be sure to click ‘create gif animation’ and wait for it to process, and then click view gif to view it in full before making your final decision.
finally, save the gif in your chosen location,and upload it like you would a picture in a text post!
I really don't expect anyone to read this and that's okay. I'm doing this for self satisfaction, maybe. Honestly, I really don't know. This just seemed as the best medium to vent all of my fucked up family problems. They are good people and all but man....
Affairs, drugs, cheating, insecurity, lying, betrayal, love, affection, strong bonds. My family has it all and I just need to vent about it. the names will be different. Each week I will write about 1 family within my tree.
I'm not doing this to make myself feel better, not at all. I'm probably the most fucked up one out of everyone. For christ sake, i'm writing about this junk. I'm just tired of keeping everything to myself. Hopefully I can look back at this and laugh....some day.
