Fine. After nearly nine months of pointless nagging from his brother, apparently finding it alarmingly necessary for his well being, he finally caved. He would purchase a bloody persocom.
The devices were a common sight due to their versatility, be it a personal computer or having the android perform complex tasks in a work environment. However, the most distinguishing, and the most appealing aspect of the devices was their varying forms and person-ability. Undoubtedly his brothers true reasoning of pressuring him to finally make the purchase. He was always so concerned with his lack of personal interaction with others. Tsk.
With little previous interest in the devices, he did marginal research, picking out several varying models before making his way to the nearest supplier. He refused to purchase one of the larger persocom's, immediately deciding they were an utter waste of time and space. No, no. A mobile type would be more then enough for his needs, and would shut Mycroft up in the process.
Browsing the large selection he worked quickly, plucking two of the devices from the shelf that he had previously analyzed. Upgrade-able with little of the 'personable' aspect that he wanted nothing to do with. Either would do. However, both had the most recent operating system that was... Less than favorable to say the least. He placed the devices back, his gaze raking over the aisle until he finally spotted a the the model, tucked back on the bottom shelf.
It was the previous years series, a model that still had the previous, more favorable, operating system, and could still be easily upgraded. This will do nicely. He purchased the small persocom at the front, waving off any offers of a newer model, before shooting off a finalizing text to Mycroft as he made his way back to the flat.
With a soft sigh he sat down at the kitchen table, carefully removing the small android from its packaging before glancing quickly over the directions. A soft tap of one of the 'ears' revealed a raveled up USB cord, which he promptly plugged into his laptop, before pressing the power button.
