pledge for May: 30,000 words
Still crawling forward. Worked on a chapter for PHU (first part is CttK and don’t worry, all of this will make sense when it launches, I promise). Thank you to everyone for the sports/athletics feedback! I will be making a post about it later, talking out loud while I work things out. Y’all are awesome.
May continues to be a tough month for writing. I got a little done last night, but not very much at all. I had to deal with school things for one kid (another discussion with Boo about remembering to check his agenda, remembering to check his grade report, remembering to actually do and hand in his homework). I had to deal with Chick (elder child) packing to go to Wisconsin for the Science Olympiad Nationals (proud mama moment!). And Kevin and I had to go get the food shopping done for this paycheck, which is just a lovely evening laden with sticker shock and frustration. We spend so much on food, what with the 14 year old boy who eats six meals a day when medicated, and ten meals a day when off meds, not to mention the vegetarian who eats mostly fresh fruit and vegetables and quinoa, and then there’s me, who’s GF. Add in a scattered schedule that doesn’t allow for making real meals more than twice, maybe thrice, a week and it’s just a mess of trying to balance cost, nutrition, and convenience.
Today is a TKD day, and I’m the one collecting Boo from home, so no real time except at lunch today. But no lunch time weight lifting, which is helpful. My goals for today are mostly outline related, for both HTMTW#2 and PHU. Also some modly things with queuing posts.
In other news, I have reopened my twitter (shock, surprise, you can find me as tryslora there too) if anyone would like to follow me there (just be aware most of the tweets are um, old, while I get used to using it again). If you shoot me a note (here, there, wherever) to let me know it’s you, I shall try to follow back. And if anyone knows how to post to two accounts at the same time via the iPhone client, I’d love to know. I use this feature on TweetDeck all the time on my Mac. Or well, I used to, and will again. :)
On with the day. May you all have a wonderful day, and may the hard bits pass quickly and easily, and if you’re trying to be productive (whether it be words, art, or something else), may the mojo be plentiful for getting shit done.
