Imagine Lucy accidentally slaughtering her own guildmates or friends.
Darkness cleared leaving the rolling dust to scatter in its place. Dull eyes rose to the rising sun in the distance. She covered them to remove the bright pain as not only the warmth of her hand reached her forehead but something else. Something hot and had a stomach turning smell to it. It slid down to the tip of her nose to only wipe it away what had been thought of sweat.
She didn’t need to see her hand to find out that a single bead of sweat was suppose to be this thick. Hands shaking and perspiring as unfocused eyes saw the crimson liquid painted on her hands.
In gasping breathes which became shorter by the second but quickly all released at once when eyes scanned the area before her.
Destruction ran out through the town but the confusion was stronger. No wound was afflicted upon her but the amount of blood…
A soft voice had her come out of her trance. Lucy’s eyes franticly searched the area for the location. Small movement caught her eye as a boot twitched under a pile of rocks.
Hesitant at first but legs moved anyway ignoring the pleas of her mind begging her not to go. Though at the sight of flowing blue hair they ripped forwarded against the debris to find her friend crushed between rocks.
"J-Juvia!" Her voice surprised her. It sounded so unfamiliar as if she didn’t even know who she was for a moment.
Blue eyes wandered up to see her kneeling before her. Tears formed and pooled from the corners almost filling her ears with them. “Thank goodness… you’re finally back. Juvia— Juvia is so.. happy, Lucy-san.” Her head lulled to the side and Lucy didn’t need to find her pulse.
She was gone.
Fear and anguish struck her as the water mage before her turned into a blob between the gasping and crying. Though through the mess of tears the confusion of what was even happening creeped into her mind.
Footsteps were near but she didn’t raise her head. Honey orbs were focused on the loss of her comrade. Her friend.
"How does it feel? To have killed all your friends."
The voice was mocking but every word struck her like bolts of lightening. Her vision was mixing everything together and throat growing tight as she spotted fallen comrades scattered across the area. Eyes even falling upon a mess of blue fur.
Digging her nails into the skin of her legs begging her to wake up but it only drew more pain on top of the rest. The unknown persons voice lingered into her mind again which had her whirl around to face them.
"I couldn’t possibly—!"
A sob escaped her as she fell back to the dirt covering her mouth as the tears rolled down removing the blood of her friends. She was the only one to survive, the one to not remember a thing. Her heart lurched at the realization that this could be true.
This wasn’t the plan. She needed Fairy Tail so much after it disbanded.
