Natasha rested on a patio chair reading a magazine when she heard a familiar voice calling. "I knew I'd find you here."
"Jade, oh my god!" Natasha stood up and hugged the Queen to be. "Aren't you supposed to be in Cordonia preparing for the wedding?"
"Nah... I still have a few weeks left, maybe months."
"Really?"
"I'm afraid so... Who knows when that crazy girl writing our stories will actually finish the series, right?"
"You're preaching to the choir, honey," Natasha smirked and they laughed.
"How are you?" Jade sat on the chair nearby placing her drink on the table between their chairs.
"I'm great. Just waiting for a couple of friends. Oh, they're here," she said smiling at the two petite ladies approaching. "Hey, girls!"
"Hi, Na--" Samantha gasped as she saw Jade sipping a margarita next to Natasha.
"Heh... Jade, you remember Samantha and Daphne from the party at the Cordonian embassy in NYC."
"Yes, hi there! Cute swimsuit," Jade extended her hand and Samantha just shook it without saying a word, simply staring wide-eyed at the Duchess. "I think we've met before the party. Daphne, isn't it?" She turned to Daphne with a smile.
"Yes, hi! I was in Cordonia for your corgi's social season."
"Oh, sure! You're the viscountess who named your dog Drake. I love it. Your pug is really cute."
"Hehe, thanks. Your friend wasn't very pleased to know the name of my dog."
"It's alright. He never likes anything, actually." They giggled.
"Wow... we have two noblewomen here. This is so cool. Do you think we'll get special treatment?" Samantha enthused.
"It'd be nice for a change," Natasha smirked.
"Shut up! You always get special treatment because your boyfriend is the suavest and charming guy ever," Daphne threw an ice cube at Natasha.
"Hah! Said the viscountess dating a smooth talker/diplomat."
The four women eagerly chatted for hours drinking and sunbathing when a very drunk Samantha let out a relieved sigh. "Ah, I love this! Vitamin D, margaritas, girly talk, hanging out with people who can walk in the sun..."
Jade furrowed her brows. "People who can walk in the sun?"
"Yeah... It's so nice," Samantha replied sipping her margarita.
"Aww, you poor thing... Does Jax have photosensitivity?" Daphne squeezed Samantha's shoulder.
"Yeah..." Samantha looked away. "Something like that."
