In 1963, the MA-1 Flight Jacket was substantially revised by changing the lining to bright emergency orange and making the jacket reversible. If an aircraft was shot down or crashed, the surviving crew were instructed to wear the jacket on the orange side to make them more visible to rescue personnel. Today, Alpha still designs styles like the N-3B W Parka and MA-1 Long featuring the iconic Emergency Orange lining. Learn more Alpha history here: http://bit.ly/AlphaHist
