Winds of Fate II - Upper Base Weekly Adjustments
To cut the long story short, NCsoft is nerfing the guards/mobs difficulty level, as well as increasing the rewards you can get from the weeklies. They cited their reason as guards/mobs doing too much damage for the average player to cope (and obviously, this spells even more disaster when PVP occurs midway).
Previously, they were elite mobs with a 1-star difficulty rating. As of now, they will be non-elite mobs; 3-star difficulty for Asteria/Roah and 5-star difficulty for the inner area.
Upper Abyss weeklies now give out Bloodmark insignias as rewards too. Previously, they were only available via campaign quests, world boss quests and PVP dailies/weeklies. You can net 32 Bloodmark insignias every week from this batch of weeklies alone.
P.S - the 60 refers to the contribution points for the faction incentive system.
Winds of Fate II - Mythic Bloodmark Weapons Variations
In the light of this post, I think it’s great that NCsoft is covering all the bases for all the classes. The recent patch added more variations for the Mythic Bloodmark series (only for the weapons though).
The variations include the following:
- Higher Accuracy/Crit Strike or Magic Accuracy/Crit Spell instead of Attack/Magic Boost stats - Different resistance (paralysis vs silence) - Attack speed variations; notably Mace*, Orb, Tome, Harp - Magic variations; notably Staff
Extra Notes
- The Attack Speed Mace has physical stats instead of magic stats - The Tome/Orb and Harp have 17% and 9% Attack Speed respectively
For the clerics (and possibly chanters), I found a Korean cleric with a full set of +15 mythic Bloodmark chain. His stats are as follows:
- 4398 Block - 2000 Magic Resist - 629 Strike Resist
Above stats are taken without any external buffs, Shield Mantra and Word of Protection will provide an additional 200 Block should he have the luxury of chanter support.
Regarding the rest of his gear:
Mace: Vasharti Brigade General’s Mace (6-slot) Shield: Special Elite Ambassador’s Divine Shield (+17) Accessories: Exalted Nolan Set + Sauro Commander’s Sash Headgear: Remodeled Danaur Helm
Looks like this is indeed a set worth investing, but take note it will take some work as there will be some weekly grinding to do for the new Bloodmark insignias (this is different from the normal Bloodmarks).
P.S - I asked a melee friend for his opinion, and he said that the Block amount does scare him.
Any help?
So now we have 4.8, can anyone tell me how do we farm BMs now since there is no camps any more?
I tried to find some guide but nothing.
Winds of Fate II - Bloodmark Purification
This is why I’m a little against rushing posts on updates, because you may not know what Korea will change at the last minute. Korea added another round of updates to the test server two days ago, you can now purify existing Bloodmark equipment into mythic Bloodmark equipment.
It utilizes slightly lesser Bloodmarks (if you’re that cheap about it), but otherwise it still requires the same amount of Bloodmark insignias. Lastly, your equipment needs to be at a minimum enchant level of +10 in order to proceed with the purification process.
Winds of Fate II - Bloodmark Dailies
The Upper Abyss has now adopted a camp system, so aside from siege, there are still many things to do (which was the point of this whole update, bringing life back to the UA).
There are a bunch of PVE/PVP dailies, I would not recommend solo-ing the balaur if you’re not geared because they are 1-star difficulty elite mobs (at most).
The PVP quests are very specific, as they require you to kill the opposing faction in certain areas (labelled by zones). There are two global PVP dailies which are triggered automatically when you enter the map. PVP dailies will also award GP upon completion. Aside from the automatically triggered quests, the other quests are given out from the respective faction bases and flipped camps.
The new special Bloodmark insignia functions like a sort of pseudo-medal, which allows you to purchase the new series of Bloodmark mythics. It is awarded via PVP dailies and one-off quests (requiring you to PVE). As to whether they are being awarded from siege, I’m currently unsure.
P.S - I know people have been asking questions about the recent posts, send them to my inbox instead of reblogging. I’m not too hot about reblogging because it just sends duplicate posts all over my blog, making it harder for people to navigate them through other posts.
