So the Avott and MajorScythe discourse can be solved by, "they should just kiss" (It is all fun, I ship them individually and the three together.)
Don't Lie To Me
“Are you going to lie to me again?” Scott states rather calmly as he pins Pyro against the wall of the newly constructed castle.
Pyro is unable to look into his eyes as they terrify him. They remind him of the moment that he was turned. “N- no sire. I- I even knew that the cure that they were talking about w- was to kill you but I- I- was hoping that maybe they would find another way.”
“You thought you could convince the humans that there is another way? Pyro, if they think there is a solution then they are going to try and use it. MY sire, is dead. I am still a vampire.” Scott sighs and backs off. “Do you want me dead? Do you want to kill me for the chance to be human again?”
“No Sire, I don’t want-”
“How do I know you aren’t lying? How many times have you gone behind my back!” Scott interrupts Pyro as for the first time in an eternity he feels what is possibly tears running down his face.
“Sire, believe me. If there is no better way to cure vampirism then killing you, then I would rather stay a vampire. I don’t want blood on my hands, especially not your blood.” Pyro looks at Scott still unable to make eye contact with him.
Avid’s voice chimes in almost a whisper. “Am... I interrupting something?”
Scott and Pyro look over to see Avid standing almost still while holding his hands in place as he twiddles his fingers.
Scott walks over to Avid and pushes his hair behind his ear. “Not at all. What brings you here?”
“Martyn said that any Vampires in town that didn’t speak up were dead weight. I didn’t out myself. But if the other humans feel that way about me, then I don’t feel safe, even in my cell.” Avid’s voice remains quiet as he looks away unable to meet Scott’s eyes.
“So, are we just your back up option then?” Scott’s voice sounds cold. He has had enough of fledglings acting up and he refuses to accept anyone else that has the potential to test his patience.
“No, no... of course not... but I- I can leave if I am not welcome here either. I’ll listen. If you want me to leave then I w- I’ll go...” Avid still feels frozen as he looks at Scott’s frustration. “Sire, I’ll leave, just tell me too.”
Scott grins at the name that Avid has just called him. “Well, if that is how you feel, come over here next to my little inferno. He just... has been, testing me lately. When you get to where I told you, get down on your knees.”
Avid slowly moves over and sits in front of Scott next to Pyro. He locks eyes with Scott and starts to cry.
“What’s wrong little fledgling?” Scott gets up and pats his head.
“Wh- what if I lose control? I am afraid I will become like her. I- I left town because I di- didn’t want to h- hurt anyone!” Avid bawls as he breaks down with the truth coming out.
“Pyro, get Shelby to bring some meat or crimson over and come back. After you come back, sit next to the little hunter.”
Pyro bows and leaves the throne room that they were all in.
Scott walks up to Avid and lifts his head up. “Little hunter, I can teach you how to control that. But what you can’t do is starve yourself. That will make it worse.”
“I am afraid to hunt.” Avid admits. He doesn’t know why he is afraid of something like that. He has eaten meat before. So this shouldn’t be much different, right?
“We have a farm here. You don’t have to go out and hunt.” Scott moves his hand to Avid’s cheek and moves his hair out of his face with his free one. “So, you think I am handsome, my little hunter?”
“Ye- yes, Sire, very much so. I thought so before, but was unable to say it. I was very scared of what my partner became. She- she was nothing like you all. I- I couldn’t talk or reason with her.”
“When you are not trying to accuse me of murder, you are very adorable.”
Shelby and Pyro walk back in and Pyro sits down next to Avid after hearing that brief exchange. He feel jealousy sink in casting his eyes downward, as he craves that same affection from Scott.
“Thank you Shelby.” Scott takes the three bottles of crimson from them and they walk off. Scott notices the emotions coming from Pyro and looks over at him. “Little inferno, you hungry?”
Pyro looks up and locks eye’s with Scott. “Always, Sire. It is never ending. But I find it easier to manage by your side.”
“Then stay by my side where you belong. Don’t go looking for a cure. Is trying that cure worth the chance of losing me and living for eternity?”
“No! No! Of course not Sire! Nothing is worth losing you!” Pyro reaches out to Scott as he slightly scrambles up to his feet and and Scott grabs the hands heading to him.
“Will you lie to me again?” Scott brings Pyro’s hands to his face as he leans into them.
“No Sire, I’ll be honest with you.”
“Little hunter, come here.” Scott orders Avid as he caresses Pyro’s face.
Avid slowly gets up and walks over to the two and Scott hands him two bottles. “Thank you.” He looks at the blood in the bottle as if them being there in his hands is foreign to him. It appalls him how appealing the blood looks and how the scent stimulates his appetite. He brings the first bottle to his lips as the taste of blood touching his tongue for the first time causes him to quickly chug the first bottle.
Scott chuckles slightly as he watches Avid quickly downing the second bottle. “Little hunter, you have blood dripping down your face.” With the hand not caressing Pyro’s face he wipes the blood off his face and hands him the third bottle. “Drink it slower. We have more. We can get you more.”
“I have a few on me if he is still thirsty.” Pyro kisses the hand on his cheek.
“Oh, your willing to share your hunt little inferno? Would you mind sharing with me?”
Avid drinks the third bottle a lot slower as Pyro watches as he processes what Scott has asked of him. “How would you like to share it?”
“Hand me a bottle and I’ll show you.~” He ended the last few words with a melodic swing.
Pyro looks at Scott knowing well what he wants to do. Maybe he should beat him too it? “I’m not that hungry at the moment, share with Avid.” He hands Scott a bottle and turns around to leave. He doesn’t really want to share it with anyone. It has been a long past couple of days.
Scott grabs Pyro’s jacket... or Scott’s old suit jacket. “Little inferno, I just want you to feel included.”
Pyro always feels conflicted around Scott. He is scared of his Sire, but at the same time desires him and wants nothing more then to serve him.
Scott is able to feel his fledgling’s emotions. “If you want to go for the night. You can go. I will understand. Your turning wasn’t peaceful... after all.”
Confusion flows through Pyro. “Who are you and what have you done with my Sire? I know that you don’t actually- you always make it seem like that wasn’t a big deal.”
It wasn’t to Scott if he were to be honest. He couldn’t think of a lie to tell him that would be believable. A simple lie would be easy. But he wants to say something that he would believe. Yet, Pyro seems to be seeing through him. “How about the three of us go to my nest then. We’ll spend the rest of our down time together.”
“I’d like that Sire.”
Scott kisses both of their foreheads and guilds them over to his room. “I’ll stay by both of your sides if you want after all of this is over. Neither of you will have to feel alone.”
