A Russian Soviet Marine Chronometer, set within original three-tier mahogany case with glass window and brass mounts, serial no. 24405; USSR, circa 1950.  Gimbaled brass bowl displays silvered Arabic numeral dial marked by Russian maker, gold and blue hands, with key wind-up.

An Original Costume Design by Frank Peschka for The Little Players, 1970; watercolor and ink with fabric swatches on paper, framed. 

Signed in ink by the artist lower right: "Peschka". Inscribed and dated in ink: "Phaedra 1970 . 71 Acts I , II / The Little Players, Inc.". 

 The Little Players, a puppet theater, was created and produced by Francis J. Peschka (Frank) and W. Gordon Murdock (Bill) who came to New York from Ohio in 1952 and started giving puppet shows in their living room on Central Park West. Jerome Robbins discovered them and got them funding so they could quit their day jobs and start doing puppet shows full-time. The Little Players' puppet productions, which delved into classical material and were aimed at adults rather than children, soon established a following among prominent actors and other entertainment professionals. Set designs and costume designs with fabric swatches pertaining to the Little Players were created by Peschka. [Source: NYPL archives]
