A lil' evening pixel art practice, this time I'm drawing Zira from @kianamaiart art/show, "Pretty Pretty Please, I Don't Want to be a Magical Girl!"
I'm joining the Magical Girl Game Jam #12 on itch io with a team, and guess what I'm watching for inspiration!
My team has not decided on a specific pixel art style, but I want to practice simplified pixel art to ideally, get my team's art development moving along.
I don't draw humans in my pixel art enough, so I want to play with either smaller/more simplified pixels or more exaggerated proportions...
[Image Description: Two images on an Aseprite--a pixel art program, screen. The left image is a pixel fan art rendering of the character Zira from the indie show "Pretty Pretty Please, I Don't Want to be a Magical Girl!" by visual artist, Kiana Mai. The right image is the original artist's design of her character, Zira. Zira is drawn as a young human teen with dark brown skin, round eyeglasses, and dark hair in two puff looped-hair that's underneath a purple beanie, that has a green pin and moon pin on it. Zira has on a purple shirt with a white bunny head in the center, and a long-sleeved black undershirt. Zira is wearing a long green skirt with a small white-bead chain, and blue jeans, and wearing white and purple sneakers. END ID]
Be careful when you buy nail polish from a witch at the Night Market. She put a special ingredient in it...and it’s a full red moon tonight!
At least the color is cute, don’t you think?
What color would you buy from a witch at the Night Market?
[Video ID:
An image of a brown hand wearing red nail polish is underneath a red moon. The hand is growing white and grey fur out of it with the text next to it: “UGH… I knew I should NOT have bought that B L O O D MOON nail polish from that witch at the Night Market…”
This animation was inspired by a little zine I sketched out. I liked it so much, that I decided to turn it into a pixel art animation!
For my dear friend in G/\za 🍓. No matter what happens to her or myself, I am forever grateful to be under the same stars as her, all these miles and oceans apart. Besan's GFM link @bisanalbalawi18

Meet Leafette! They are the main character for my itch io Devtober game jam entry (currently) titled, Foliage Conversations. You can read more about Leafette on my blog, here!
Leafette is a resident of Foliage Falls, a cozy little town known for its beautiful lakes and rivers.
Although well-known by the locals, Leafette can be a bit shy around new people. And with a love for books, they are a familiar face at the local book store, the Cozy Reader.

They are wearing blue jeans with heart-shaped patches at the knees and red shoes. END ID]

lol I don't even feel like logging into my game dev tumblr @bloomzeye to post this...ANYWAYS! I'm making my first indie game (it's almost done!), and here's Kiwi the Bee, my main character!
Again, not logging into my game dev tumblr (@bloomzeye) for reasons, but my first indie game, Bubble Bumble, is almost ready to play! Here's the itch io page for it: https://bloomzeye.itch.io/bubble-bumble
Ahhhhh! I have basically zero followers on this page, but I don't care! I've made a video game, something I never thought I could even do, and I'm happy about it!
Hopefully the video loads. If not, here's the link: https://youtu.be/W7zDP6tF2gg
