Hey All!

Sorry I’ve been so sparse lately work has been kicking my proverbial. I will eventually get back on the horse and post more stuff. Finding the energy to take care of myself and work on top of this is jsut really challenging at the moment. A small little note that’s completely out of my usual league. I’ve become obsessed with a new artist who I’ve actually become quite close with! it’s  never  easy  watching  someone  she  considers  a  friend  be  hurt.   despite  the  field  they’re  involved  in,   despite  years  of  pouring  her  own  blood,  sweat,  and  tears  into  it   ...   her  stomach  still  turns  and  she  finds  it  increasingly  hard  to  keep  her  eyes  on  the  screen.   it  isn’t  that  nikki  feels  some  underlying  obligation  or  connection  to  check  in,   she  can’t  exactly  remember  the  last  time  she  and  seth  spoke   --   it’s  been  months,   easy,   time  and  effort  placed  into  her  other  businesses  after  her  retirement  rather  than  keeping  tabs  on  former  co-workers.   but  something  feels  different  tonight,   the  growing  desire  to  placate  her  worry  something  she  can  no  longer  ignore.   manicured  fingers  dig  her  phone  out  from  the  crevice  of  the  couch  it’s  fallen  into,   ignoring  all  other  notifications  littered  across  her  screen  in  favor  for  scrolling  through  her  contacts  to  find  the  one  she’s  looking  for.

                        WHEN  THEY  TOLD  HER  TO  BE  CAREFUL  WITH  SETH,  SHE’D  ROLLED  HER  EYES  AT  THEM.      saraya  didn’t  believe  that  she  would  end  up  hurt  like  everyone  else  had  —  given  her  past,  that  was  a   stupid  assumption.   she  felt  like  a  fool  for  ever  giving  him  the  benefit  of  the  doubt.  she  felt  naive  for  ever  thinking  with  his  own  past  that  he  could  be  different  than  all  the  rest.  his  true  colors  were  shown  as  she  sat  on  the  edge  of  their   shared  bed   in  the  hotel  room  with  text  message  screenshots  she  was  sent  on  her  phone  in  her  hands.  there  was  shock  when  their  shouldn’t  have  been  that  he  was   unfaithful   to  her.

                        they  were  fighting,  arguing  —  but  it  was  more  of  a  pathetic  &  disingenuous  apology  &  seth  begging  for  forgiveness  than  it  was  anything  else.  she’d  heard  this  all  before  from  others.  he  was   no  different   than  the  rest,  except  the  saddest  part  was  that  she  actually  trusted  him  to  be  different.   ‘  i  swear  to  god  ’  —  he  started,  but  she  quickly  put  an  end  to  it.

                        “  don’t  swear  t’  god,  he   never   asked  you!  ”      she  shouted,  almost  a  violent  verbal  outburst  from  nowhere.      “  ‘s  not   his  heart   you  drove  a  knife  through!  it’s  not   his  world   you  turned  inside  out!  ”      her  face  flushed  red  with  anger  &  sadness  all  balled  up  into  one.  jet  black  tears  from  her  mascara  streamed  down  an  otherwise  pale  complected  face.      “  not   his  tears   still  rollin’  down.  jesus  christ...  you’re  so  damn  cold!  don’t  you  know  you’ve  lost  control?  ”

     The bummed out feeling began to settle in and boy, was it a lovely one. For the            Canadian born losing fucking sucked more than anything; her pride, her           desire to be the best repeatedly slipping away, again and again. Leaning             against the first wall she felt like stopping on, Nattie’s eyes closed as a             moment to reflex on her mistakes in the ring was needed. What wasn’t               necessary was the way the charismatic, tall suave of a man named              Luc/ifer Mo/ringstar just....popped out of nowhere, right in front of her.               “Holy shit!” She flinched from brief fear, head shaking as she glared         at him. “Give me a warning next time, will ya? God... Where did you even                      come from anyway? And don’t you dare say Hell, smartass.”

     As firm and self-determined as those words came out, even Natalie could never               be so sure of not getting hurt. Physically, emotionally, mentally, that inner           vulnerability lingers, and it will until her heart stops beating. She wasn’t the      strongest, or the toughest --- even if her strong arms and her wrestling prowess        would say otherwise if they could --- but Nattie always worn her heart on her         sleeve. After all, she was human. With a name like Lucifer, any other mortal              would be terrified and run in the opposite direction like a bat out of hell,              ironically, but not her. His irresistibly handsome features along with his         smooth conversation skills, made Nattie stay a little while longer when they         first met. Ever since then, there was something about the mysterious man             she couldn’t get out of her head. “Mmm...even you don’t have a crystal           ball to predict that, though a part of me wants to believe you.” Her head             tilted to one side, eyes slightly narrowing in anxiousness because he           seemed to have a secret to reveal. “That depends...” she fairly replied,                                                  “...on who you really are..”
