HUGE GWAR infodump + somewhat of a proper introduction to my GWAR OC (buckle up, it’s LONG, but I labeled the paragraphs with colors 🎉) ⬇️

I don’t know how my brain JUST NOW figured this out, but some GWAR members and the GWAR oc I’m working on right now would get along so well because they’d have something in common; THEY’RE NOT CIS. 😋😋😋

Of course, it’s been said that Blóthar’s non-binary regarding him actually saying it and his gradual change from just 🍆 udders to an added sideways 😺, plus he sometimes refers to himself with feminine pronouns. For these reasons, I personally like to think he’s still non-binary but uses any pronouns, he just prefers he/him (the most) out of habit and she/her for the same, but usually out of necessity.

This same logic can be applied to Grodius whose alternate gender expression is slightly less noticeable, but prominent nonetheless concerning that it openly uses he/she/it pronouns. I personally view her as genderfluid.

Now for my oc, I’ll introduce her properly first before getting into what her, Blóthar and Grodius have in common (this is where the infodump happens). Her full name including her title is Mistress Atypica Ampulla (Nereida and Lamia are her middle names); any slaves, humans (that aren’t fans) and/or literally ANYONE she deems below her have to use her title, most commonly as Mistress Ampulla; she’s regarded as a rare prodigy among oracles and one of the strongest in the galaxy. She was the Master’s personal oracle and later, forced into also being a concubine for 50,000 Earth years; she’s 100,000 currently, so that was half of her life. He had secretly implanted a chip in her neck to forcibly control her powers because unlike most people on her home planet of Nauticensura, she isn’t limited to hydrokinesis or sea creature-exclusive zoological mastery (the power to talk to and control any kind of sea creature) - her additional powers include flight, telepathy + telekinesis (sometimes called psychokinesis when combined), omniscience (being able to see the past and the future to a sizable but reasonable extent), clairvoyance (also known as having a “sixth sense”) and hemokinesis (the ability to control blood as much as water). The moment Atypica found out, she ripped the chip out of her neck through her gills, castrated half of the Master’s highest ranking sergeants and generals, who often joined him in perpetuating torment, and drained the Master of nearly all of his blood, leaving him barely clinging onto yet another chance at life and demanding her to be exiled to Earth in a medicine-induced daze while recovering; GWAR had slipped his mind in this state so he made a grave mistake. They sent her there through a rickety old escape pod which ended up breaking down and crashing in a pond near the band’s tour bus while they were holding member auditions for “at least another non-COMPLETE male” in Grodius’s words and the rest is history.

Additional tidbits about her: 1. I ship her with BälSäc because she considers him a rare intellectual equal (plus the thought of them together is cute to me-) - 2. Her and Bonesnapper are younger and older stepsiblings respectively, having the same father but not the same mother. They were originally raised together but a Nauticensuran ship arrived at their father’s cave in the night and took a barely toddler aged Atypica with them.

Her design is still a huge WIP, so just try to imagine a cycloptic, one eyed mermaid/siren/water nymph-esque creature with a squid-like humanoid head and a squid beak resembling a bird’s with fish lips; really long Medusa type hair made of tentacles, various kinds of feelers and live lamprey eels; webbed hands and feet; finned arms and ears; and a long barbed tail- 😭😭😭 NOW ENOUGH BACKSTORY, I’LL GET TO WHAT PROBABLY MOST OF Y’ALL CAME FOR

So Atypica was considered intersex from birth due to having male, female and completely ambiguous characteristics to her reproductive organs, which work almost like a female hyena’s; and sharing an ability with certain male squids and cuttlefish where their patterns can be changed to female, which can be viewed as cross-dressing. She was raised male at birth despite being taken into her home planet’s usually female-only oracle training program at a young age, being the only male (at the time) soothsayer on her planet until she secretly started transitioning, then she openly rebelled against her planet’s oligarchic dictatorship and came out as transfem on live intergalactic broadcast, which is what brought the Master’s attention to her.

So yes, there’s now not one, not two, but (technically) THREE GWAR WOMEN/NON-MEN 🗣️🗣️🗣️
