The Book of Consequences: Chapter One - Rise of the Green Light Babies 

According to this episode, this season is focused on a situation in which a small number of Black teens are exhibiting superpowers from an unlawful government experiment and are victimized for it. This episode begins with a Black teen boy being strangled to death by police officers because as a suspected Green Light Baby he was immediately seen as a threat.

I continue to enjoy Jefferson’s struggle with balancing being Black Lightning and the city’s Exceptional Black Man.

Lynn has more to do this season and I am very much excited.

Jennifer remains my favorite because we don’t see enough vulnerable Black girl characters who are able to adequately defend themselves.

Anissa is going to Anissa.

Speaking as someone who did not re-watch season 1 because she forgot about season 2, it is possible to watch this episode and understand character dynamics without having seen season 1.
