You could mistake them for a thunder storm. Its when they turn you hear the unnatural howl of the jets. When they swoop down and you feel the windows start to shake. Like some man made storm god. There dance is for the celebration, for the hundreds of subjects coming out to watch and praise them. But they could destroy us if they wished. Its there nature to kill. These brightly colored plans are the domesticated dancers to there murderous siblings. Preforming to remind us were "safe" but also to remind us of our place. Most will only see there final beautiful dance. I hear them thundering overheard for days.

Two U.S. Navy F-18 Hornets, assigned to the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, perform a complex maneuver during the Sound of Speed Airshow at Rosecrans Air National Guard Base, St. Joseph, August 26, 2018. The air show was hosted by the 139th Airlift Wing, Missouri Air National Guard and the city of St. Joseph to thank the community for their support. The air show committee estimated 45,000 people attended the Saturday performance. The Blue Angels strive to showcase the pride and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach.
