Talking about my 30 favourite manga in 30 days
Day 9: Today I'm talking about Blue Giant by Ishizuka Shinichi. I have already talked about Blue Giant in previous posts but I will try to make it different now. It's about a kid who heard Jazz for the first time and fell completely in love with it. That's why he started playing the saxophone and he never stopped, he is always trying be better and better. He found what he liked and stuck with it, when everyone was studying to get into the top universities he was still playing the saxophone. When the results came out and one of his friends didn't make it he encouraged him to not give up and continue, failing some exams isn't the end of your life. This means a lot to me since I just finished high school and didn't really knew what I wanted to do with my life but thanks to this manga I went with the mindset that I will just try my best and see where life gets me, no reason to worry. I LOVE Tamada as a character he saw Dai being passionate with something and he also tried it probably for the first time in his life. He decided to learn the drums and even if he wasn't the best he was still giving it his all every single time. That's what was magical about it he wasnt a prodigy but he never gave up because he liked it, it doesn't matter if your the best if you enjoy something. Everything about the manga was so good and it genuinely was a breath of fresh air from all the depressing stories I was reading. The pianist guy(I dont remember his name :( ) is also a great character and I actually loved him in the movie more than the manga.
Blue Giant also got me into Jazz, I always thought it was for older people but it's actually amazing!
Fantastic manga overall I always recommend it for beginners since its so simple yet so great.
If anyone has a manga that they want to me talk about they can send me a message and if I have read I will talk about it tomorrow since I don't have anything planned.
Anyways here are some panels I liked
just like the white-winged dove sings a song, sounds like she's singing
