BUT YEAH I sorta like...caved to shipping with Lee cause frankly he was my first favorite Naruto character. Legit I admired him for years its terrible-
ANYWAY to answer your questions,
How they met:
Their team leaders (Gai and Ota’s Jonin) were pretty close and often wanted to do joint training to expand their skills and experience!
Basically resulted in Ota’s curiosity about Lee cause lets be real he’s really SOMETHING when you’re both like 14?? She admired him pretty quickly but sorta wasn’t sure about her feelings for him. (Though when he got a crush on Sakura she sorta feel...weird about it)
It’s funny cause Ota’s family has some influence and they’re pretty involved in village politics so to speak and you just see this green jumpuited boy running around with their young lady heir LOL
Lee is why she wants to grow more and become her own ninja honestly. That and all the other insane power houses in the chunin exams like wow omg- (like she really buries her head into training when he’s recovering from his injuries)
How they got together:
Hilariously regardless of being best friends, living next to each other in an apartment building, willing to do anything, HAVING EACH OTHER’S HOUSE KEYS they didn’t actually get together until like...post Naruto as a whole. Like it’s even post Last movie and is somewhere before Boruto cause they are married at that point
Basically, they sorta were in the “they were fine being friends AKA scared to ruin said friendship” realm until there comes a time they just sorta realized they could be best friends AND be together romantically
Friends:
I would say she is pretty friendly with like:
Her own teams she’s had (as a genin and when she becomes a team leader too),
Yamamoto (he trained her a bit considering her affinity for Earth Charka)
Sakura and Ino (Ino’s family and her’s do a lot of business and she respects Sakura a lot)
Kiba (she really likes dogs so...yeah)
Maybe Shino later on with teaching kids?
Enemies:
I mean to be fair you can assume who she wouldn’t like:
Enemies of her allies
Hinata (she finds her too timid and thats frustrating)
Sasuke (she doesn’t really...get the appeal)
Honestly most she just doesnt think too much about or her thoughts changed!
Good example is Gaara, she had a big and REASONABLE issue but over the years they worked things out
Team Gai:
Gai - Thinks hes a little much at first, Ota was more shy as a kid, but he grew on her a lot and respects his skill and knows how much he means to Lee (she doesnt get the outfit style tho)
Tenten - Pretty well off with each other, though Ota is more a nature person than a weapons person. She feels for her being on that team all the time
Neji - Has the hardest time getting along with him for a while cause he’s Neji. She’s amazed with his skills but thinks he’s intense. Later on more so nudges him and they have a small laugh on things
