his name is baby and last year me and my freshman year roommate found him on the street. he’s been mine ever since and my first cat. he likes to scratch the sofa and yell at me for chicken every time i’m in the kitchen. he only tolerates being held for a bit, but loves to sit on my chest and purr and purr and purr. his meow sounds like he smokes a pack or cigarettes a day but i think it’s perfect. he chooses me out of all my siblings every time. i wonder if he knows how much i love him. i wish i could tell him in words that he would understand. he has been through so much with me and i am so grateful for him.
