What if Tom Sully had his memories saved before he died like Quaritch did but because Recoms and Avatars are created fundamentally differently, the RDA couldn’t just transfer his memories into his Avatar…without Tommy, Jake took his place. The RDA didn’t tell Jake that there might be a chance for his twins survival because the Recombinant Program was still in its testing phase and there was no guarantee of success and there was no reason to get his hopes up.

Tommy wakes up and the RDA gets a head start on the brainwashing propaganda trying to turn Tommy against Jake…
