I got a six-pack of fresh lids and bands for 'regular' Mason jars and the like and went through my shelf of glass jars. See how many different size jars work with the same lid/band? I'll want to weed out odd-but-awkward jars that can't be reclosed/recapped and reused, and get those into recycling. Whether I use this stuff for storage or genuine canning, it will be good to pare down to truly functional. I will also want to get a pack of lids/bands that are wide-mouth because I can tell I have a selection of glassware along that standard.
