Australia: Sydney, Melbourne and Katoomba / Mingle Films Voyages

I’ve got a wacky idea about traveling around the world…

Why?

Being an actor for many years, I took the opportunity of directing my first short film called Alike in 2016 and aftermath I was wondering, and now what?! Nothing… except I came accross some videos about traveling. I was like I wanna do that. You know I was so focused making just films so I was wondering if I could travel and make videos about cinema. Here I go! I’ve found a reason: I’m going to mingle with people and talk about movies. How do they perceive cinema? And I then decided to call it “Mingle Films Voyages”.

Landing in Australia, for me, it felt like I was at the end of the world. So far away from Europe, etc. First, I went to Melbourne and then Sydney. I felt that both cities had a friendly and peaceful vibe. People were nice and I found it is different lifestyle there, perhaps because they live in the future, as I heard there! I also went to Katoomba and it was gain another pleasant surprise. The city offers a beautiful landscape called the Blue Mountains. You definitely have to see the video I made there. Stunning scenery! And I met some random people and enjoyed really nice conversation with them.

I also really enjoyed being there and I am thinking of coming back at some point to explore more cities like Gold Coast, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth. I liked the idea of combining travels and cinema.

This is not the end, it’s not even the beginning of the end, perhaps the end of the beginning. Who knows! Until the next trip I invite you to watch or rewatch the videos on Youtube. The storytelling is totally different but complementary. Voilà!
