it doesn't matter if i'm straight-passing as fuck (since i'm in a hetero relationship rn) which is why they can forget enough to make homophobic jokes near me; what bothers me SO much is that i have to remind them that i, their friend, am offended about it which is probably the only valid reason why they should not make homophobic remarks (which would probably just encompass "being homophobic near the gay friend" and not "homophobia in general")

tl;dr my friends make homophobic jokes and i have to remind them that i'm bi and i am offended and they only actually stop the homophobic jokes and apologize when they remember i'm gay
