Hate to say it, but I don’t think I’ve had a meaningful conversation about ART since I’ve got here. I’ve had many meaningful conversations about life, religion, and things like that. I’ve also had some very awkward/ inappropriate conversations…. but… nothing about art. I still love this place though.

Hannah

Hannah is a creative writing students here at blur. She have been interested in writing all her life since her mom works as a librarian. She likes to write about interesting people, her writing usually include a moral or life lesson. She is a self taught writer, and she loves writing because it can express ideas or words better than speaking. Her inspiration mainly came from syfy novel, and her favorite book is " Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman. Two years ago she entered a writing contest and received second place for her work. Her goal is to become a famous novelist while earning money and working with other celebrity.

Yuwei

Yuwei is a fifteen-year-old Visual Arts student from Westmoreland, VA. She started drawing about five years ago, finding her inspiration in animes. Her favorite things to draw, then, are anime and original characters. She hasn't taken any art classes outside of school, and she likes to draw because she thinks it's really neat to see what's inside her own head reappear on paper. Her favorite artist is a blogger named Rei, who draws semi-realistic anime art. Yuwei entered a 'Stop The Violence' contest and won fourth place, scoring her a Tracfone (Yay!). She one day hopes to find an art-related career so she can get paid for doing what she loves.

Michaela Rose

Michaela is a creative writing student here at Blur. She began exploring her interests in creative writing her freshman year through journaling. She began seriously working on her poetry and imagery writing in her sophomore year when one of her teachers recognized her skill and encouraged her to continue writing and even enter several contests. Michaela enjoys writing because it helps her express herself and organize her thoughts when she feels she doesn't quite have the right words to address something yet. She finds her inspiration for her work in feelings and situations that she is either going through, things from the past, or things that she wishes to happen in the future. She would like to continue writing and is thinking about potentially minoring in a creative writing or english course in college, she would also like to make connections with her writing and her future career in psychology.
