Germander is a family favorite. We have them over for Christmas, they have us over for Easter. We both visit the lake for July 4th and for St. George's day we all stay home and take a shower.

The dainty butterfly bush whose wings beat so fast that you can not see them. You don't see them, do you? Also her eyelids flutter so quickly that you can't see her eyelids. Again, you don't see her eyelids, do you? So it must be true.

This is a pair you wouldn't like to meet in a dark urban alley filled with dumpsters and trash bags. After all, they belong in a light garden. What would they grow on in a dark urban alley? They need dirt and nutrients and worms and fertilizer and hand sanitizer, not dumpsters and trash bags.
Lobelia (Erinus) lazing away a springy day. Not hanging with the bees or butterflies, not going to the bank to deposit money, not shopping at Vons, not building a nuclear power plant. Just a lazy spring day.
