I pride myself on never getting sick in adulthood. It's because I paid my dues in childhood when I fell ill every time the seasons changed. Motherhood has given me a stronger immune system... But not today. My body is fighting some sort of sinus infection and I'm feeling so low energy. I've tried all the remedies: tea, garlic, green juice, turmeric, and the list goes on. Today, I've given in to my body's request for rest. It's not easy because my job is never done. But I'm on a double dose of sleep & snuggles today. Here's hoping I can get back at it by tomorrow. #sickday #blurrybutperfect

In my last post I said I needed an hour or two to get a head start on the day. Believe me, I do. But you've got to appreciate Lydia's enthusiasm for waking up with me. She woke up a full eight minutes before my alarm went off. I swear she knows when I'm up to something. Instead of time to write, we had an extra long, super snuggly nursing session. Now that Lydia has gone back to bed, I've got maybe 20 minutes before Jae wakes up for school... so I guess I'd better make them count. #blurrybutperfect #momlife (at NW Alphabet District)
