Last Saturday
I was at the last BLushcon, with a pretty diverse set of merchandise that I was pretty sure wasn’t going to sell because 1) my fandoms are weird in this country and 2) I wasn’t sure if there was even a fandom here. Surprise, surprise, there was a cry of:
“IS THAT HOBBIT!!!”
*GROSS TEARS*
That day, I met:
5 people who recognized Bagginshield (“Nobody else was selling but I saw a LOTR doujinshi and I said, at least it’s something! So I bought it. It’s nice to meet you!”)
3 people who cried over Tales of Zestiria with me (“Did you know you’re the only booth selling this?”)
2 people who watched me break down when they asked me to draw Tales of Xillia and chatted about ships (“I just want them to be HAPPY”)
3 people who went “GASP IS THAT TANAKA AND OHTA” (Tanaka-kun is always listless)
2 K Project people
3 Aldnoah Zero people (with the mantra of “It was so good THEN S2 HAPPENED”)
5 Cherik fans (“GIVE ME TWO!”)
And that one “WHERE IS MY KINGSMAN?!” (which... I never actually finished wheeze)
I miss doing cons and meeting people like this Q_Q
Will be posting up my prints and stuff in the next few days, but they’re mostly Haikyuu and Touken Ranbu. Surprisingly, it’s the uncommon ships that sold better...??
