What is this feeling?
He asked himself again and again as he felt his heart pounding in his chest. He thought back to the moment that had just played out, you had reached over and gave him a gentle kiss on his cheek.
Just thinking about it made his face go warm and he’s knees grow weak.
Which was beyond unusual for the blond alchemist.
This was nothing like he had ever experienced before. The cautious man carefully thought out his next moves.
After failing to come to a conclusion he decided to head down to Mondstadt to find a certain blue haired Knight.
After walking through the city and finding the aforementioned man Albedo made sure to get straight to the point.
“Sir Kaeya, may I have a word with you?” Albedo inquires gaining the attention of the flirtatious man.
“Albedo, how many times must I tell you you can drop the formalities. Now, what can I do for you sir?” He asked with a slight grin evident on his face.
“You are experienced in the category of love aren’t you?” Albedo asked, quite seriously, not really picking up on the way that his question sounded to the Knight before him.
“Oh? And why is such information of use to you, you wouldn’t happen to want a hands on experience would you?” Kaeyas small smile had faded into a sly grin as he neared the oblivious alchemist. He knew Albedo had no interest in him but the thought of messing with him was quite amusing to Kaeya.
“Well, no. I seem to be showcasing symptoms of what I think may be love but since I am not exactly sure I decided it would be best to come to you.” Albedo explained. The blue haired knight nodded as he began to pity the short blonde man for decided he was the best choice.
“Well my dear friend, you’ve come to the right place. From the sounds of it you are in fact in love, and I have the perfect way to help, I just need to know who it is.” Kaeya turned to Albedo who was more than likely rethinking his life decisions up until this point.
After eventually spilling that it was in fact you that he had grown attached to Kaeya had gained a few ideas which were, in his words, guaranteed to succeed.
Before Albedo could back out Kaeya had already grabbed him and put his first plan into action.
To explain what Kaeyas “plan A” was, it was essentially kaeyas way of Saying “if you’ll act like me you’ll do fine”
So the plan turning out to be a disaster was already predetermined.
“Now you’re already quite cold and emotionless which isn’t really what most people want. I mean look at Diluc, that sad sack of unromantic slush couldn’t get a girlfriend even if he wanted to.” Kaeya said proudly, ignoring the fact that there were plenty who would gladly give themselves up for Diluc.
“So, smile more, be welcoming yet mysterious. Show emotions but none at all, look strong but be soft.” Kaeya continued, with each word that the Knight said only confused Albedo more and more.
“Love is very… contradictory.” He pointed out causing Kaeya to chuckle.
“You do what you must for love to prevail… or something, I read it in one of Lisa’s books once they’re quite entertaining to read.” As the infamous Calvary captain went on Albedo to realize just how much of a bad idea this was turning out to be.
But nonetheless he continued listening to the instructions he was being given.
Eventually Kaeya gave Albedo his plan and sent him off on his own to put it into action.
Albedo, who was quite nervous, decided against his better judgement to go through with the plan and walk up to you. Little did he know the Knight was not to far away eavesdropping in the conversation.
As he neared you and you finally caught sight of him you greeted him like normal, but much to your surprise he didn’t seem to be quite the same.
You couldn’t explain it but it felt as if he was holding himself differently.
He paused infront of you and carefully leaned on the wall and looked you dead in the eyes.
“You know, I find human anatomy quite fascinating, we should study it together sometime.”
He said in his best flirtatious tone. You had no idea if he was aware of what he was implying because you were quite used to him being blunt without realizing how, odd, his wording may sound.
“Sure I’d love to help you study, maybe we can finish the project you were working on yesterday!” You exclaimed which seemed to throw Albedo off a bit as he looked back at Kaeya.
Kaeya quickly thought of something and mouthed the words “Just flirt I have an idea” and quickly disappeared around the corner. This left Albedo confused and in a quite rough situation as you continued to stare at him, unsure of what he was looking at behind him.
Once you had regained his attention he decided to just wing it with everything Kaeya had briefly taught him.
“Your eyes are quite beautiful I couldn’t help but get lost in them.” Albedo said with the same flirtatious tone. It then hit you that he wasn’t just being blunt he was actually trying to flirt.
You didn’t know wether to be amused or concerned.
On one hand you wanted to see how far albedo could actually go before he would drop the act.
On the other hand you wondered what cause such a behavioural shift and why was he focusing it on you?
“Albedo, are you alright?” You asked slightly concerned, he nodded and paused for a few seconds almost like he was thinking of something.
“I feel better now that I get to see your lovely face.” He replied, subtly moving closer to you. You were more occupied with his mood switch than anything so you didn’t notice.
You were quite taken aback by how forward he was being and almost began to wonder if it was solely just an experiment he was working on.
He wouldn’t do that to you, would he?
He continued on with his blunt pick up lines as you grew more and more curious as to the reason behind the sudden shift.
Then you saw Albedo quickly glance to the right, you followed his gaze and locked eyes with a very particular Calvary Captain.
Suddenly everything clicked.
“Albedo, Is Kaeya making you say this?” You asked, looking back at the now slightly flustered blond.
“Well, yes… and no.” He began, dropping the flirtatious tone as he tried figuring out a way to explain.
“Meaning?” You asked, crossing your arms quite sternly. Yes you did find the whole ordeal amusing but you obviously did not like the idea of being played with for a joke.
“Well I was a bit confused about something, so I went to Kaeya to ask for help and… this was the way he told me he could help.” He explained, sounding slightly ashamed.
“And what was it that you were confused about?” For some reason you noticed that when you asked that question he suddenly slightly avoided eye contact which was very unlike him.
“Well I had noticed that ever since you gave me that small kiss on the cheek I was left with this very odd feeling.” He explained, you nodded following along.
“After a bit of research I had figured out that I was actually in love with you, and because I didn’t know how to go about it I went to Kaeya because of how knowledgeable… he is in that area…” He finished as he looked back at Kaeya who had creeped back around the corner as if you hide from his gaze.
It took a few moments for the pieces to click on your head,
“Wait did you just say, you’re in love with me?” You asked and he nodded nonchalantly in response as if that was not the whole reason behind his sudden mood change.
You could not handle your sudden excitement as you leaped at him and engulfed him in the biggest hug you cause possibly give.
He was a bit taken aback by your sudden action and almost lost his footing, his hands awkwardly hovered over you before they finally rested on your back as he gave you a tight reassuring squeeze.
You both stayed there happily until you heard a light chuckle coming from the corner
“See my dear friend, I told you it would work.” Kaeya said as he finally came from out behind his hiding spot. You couldn’t exactly disagree because it was his idea that brought you to this moment.
“Now, about that study session.”
