it’s finn and maddy’s annual date night which means that jersey is on babysitting duty. it’s not as if she minds — she spent a few years as a babysitter and she enjoys being around kids. benji especially. it usually involves eating all of the candy that he isn’t supposed to have (jersey ensures he eats vegetables with dinner so she thinks it more than makes up for it) and watching all the disney movies they can possibly cram in until it’s his bedtime. she expects it to be the same routine tonight but the moment she opens the front door, she’s greeted with a squealing benji. she can only half catch what it is he’s trying to say because he’s so excitable, he can barely string a sentence together. all she can really make out is ‘noah.’ she ushers him into the living room, hoping to find maddy so she can explain exactly why he’s so excited. instead, she’s greeted by noah — which she supposes explains benji’s behaviour. normally, they take it in turns to babysit — along with mikey and hayley — and she can only assume that she’s gotten her dates wrong and she isn’t supposed to be here. “i guess i’ll have to find somebody else to watch the princess and the frog with if you’ve already got babysitting covered.”
