I AM OFFICIALLY A HALF MARATHONER!

I couldn’t imagine having anyone else by my side to check off such a big accomplishment than my papa! It was unexpectedly so cold and windy. I did it though and my first words over the finish line was “when do we get to do this again?!”

Monster Mash Dash 5k | Jacksonville

Ran a 5k PR on Friday at the Monster Mash Dash. It was literally the perfect weather. I ran it with my friend, realized when I went to go say something to her that I was running way faster than I realized, and passed mile 1 at 9:12. Overall, PRed by a full two and a half minutes!

Unfortunately, I stopped to tie my shoe, paused my watch and instead stopped my watch :(  Next up: Evergreen Pumpkin 10 miler followed by the ROCK N ROLL HALF IN SAVANNAH! AHHHHH

My perfect sanctuary from life was underwater just seven days ago. Today, Sammy and I took 2 {slow and distracted} miles today to check out how bad it was. Luckily, Hurricane Matthew stayed further off the coast and the damage wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been.

Today was one of those runs that just CLICKED. I've been out for the count for over seven days and I was getting concerned. I couldn't make it more than 60 steps without needing an inhaler and running was out of the question. Today, I ran 1.5 without needing to stop and felt like I could go faster but paced myself. 23 days until Rock n Roll Savannah! 4.50 miles | Jacksonville

Really ran two miles. Had to call Mom to get me back to my car. My quads were so tight from running stadiums. {4 sections of 85 steps!} 3/50 miles Tallahasssee | 10.01.16

The level of jealousy I have for people running cooler miles is insane. It was another hot and humid one but I knocked out four this morning and actually wanted to keep going.

This fluffy guy is fun to run with if he doesn't get distracted by every cat, dog + human he wants to become best friends with! Jacksonville, Florida | 12/50 miles

Got up early on #LaborDay to run  a 5K with Pops...because hes actually been training, he finished way better than me. I just saw it as a challenge for next time. I came out way too hard on the first mile and spent the second trying to catch my breath. 

I’m so jealous of everyone’s post of cooler temperatures. Down here in Florida, its still 90 degrees with a humidity of 100%. Its like a swamp. Its supposed to rain for the next seven days straight. I hate the treadmill but I’ve contemplated joining a gym just to not have to deal with the rain, heat and humidity.
