BMW 2002 Baur-Cabrio (1971–1975) commonly known as Targa although the right to that name lies solely with Porsche. This is one of the last conversions of the E10 2002 series built in 1975 by the Stuttgart coachbuilder Baur known for high quality.

Vegas Auction Excites BMW Collectors

In addition to these extremely rare, sought after BMWs, there were also some classic machines at more achievable prices, such as a completely restored 1974 R90S which sold for $15,525.

There was also a 48-year-old ‘Dover White’ BMW R69 that has only been ridden 22,825 miles in its lifetime by two careful owners. It sold for a spectacular $17,250, while a 1970 R75/5 offered without reserve was snapped up at just $3,680. A 1984 R100-of which less than 200 were imported into America – fetched $4,370.
