The Isetta is a very small class car produced in the post-war period.

The Isetta was one of the most successful microcars produced in the post-World War II era, during the years when cheap short-distance transportation was essential. Although the structure was built in Italy, it was built in a number of countries, including Spain, Belgium, France, Brazil, West Germany, and the United Kingdom.

Due to the wagon layout, panoramic windows and rounded shapes, it became known as the "bubble car", a name that was later adopted by other similar vehicles.

Italy launched the production of small machines called "Izetta". This car was very different from all the others. In its shape, it looked more like a bubble than a car. Landing was carried out through a single door that opened in front, while the steering wheel moved with the door.

The car was designed for only two people and had a very small 9.5 hp engine. with. Most of all, this car looked like a motorized carriage and did not have a reverse gear. In 1955, the Italian manufacturer Izetta decided to sell the license for its production in order to move on to the production of more prestigious sports cars.

Initial origin - from the Italian company Iso SpA. In the early 1950s, the company manufactures refrigerators, scooters and small three-wheeled trucks. The owner of Iso, Rivolta Renzo, decided to build a small car for mass consumption. In 1952, engineers Ermenegildo Preti and Pierluigi Raggi developed a small car that used a scooter engine and named it Isetta, an Italian short for Iso.

The stylists are said to have designed the Isetta by combining two scooters, placing them close to each other, adding a refrigerator and forming a teardrop-like result.
