April has been a month of fun readathons, and the last one I took part in was the #BnBClassicsReadathon hosted by @booksnbeyondbox As usual, I selected way more books than I could possibly read during the actual readathon but am going to definitely continue even after. The books I selected are 👩 Villette by Charlotte Brontë 🛶 The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare 🎶 The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux 🐰 Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll 🎩 Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll 👩🦰 Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery 🌍 Brave New World by Aldous Huxley . . . The books I completed out of these are Villette - I loved reading this on a kindle reader as I could translate the many French passages easily, which was very helpful as I have quite forgotten the little bit of the language that I knew ☺️. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - Audible has made the Scarlett Johansson narrated version available to all on their Stories page. I enjoyed it greatly and am going to look for other audiobooks narrated by her. The Phantom of the Opera - I am in the middle of this. Having watched the 25th anniversary production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's show on YouTube over the weekend, I was inspired to add this to my list. . . . Did you take part in the readathon?
