SDF Macross ep. 15: Global Report

Apparently it’s been a year since the start of the show, and Captain Global is making his report to the Earth brass on all that they’ve learned. I was reaaaallly hoping this wasn’t going to be a clip show like they had in the english version when I saw the title buuuuuuut.... It is. I’m afraid this is going to be a short and boring post, because this episode is basically a half hour of ‘Previously On SDF Macross.’ So. Ya know. Weh.

I miss his corny Russian accent here, and since this is all told from the POV of the Macross crew, the only Zentraedi scenes are from the episode where Lisa & co get captured. Two demerits.Well... 1.5 because they do show Breetai crushing it with the lead pipe at least.

At the end of ye old clip montage Lisa shows up and brings Global a coffee. THAT’S IT THAT’S THE SHOW. Next ep is China Town.

sonic boom is so amusing that it’s pretty hard to actually hate (unless you’re seriously thinking, objectively, how the hell something like that managed to be excused), but like

the ONE THING i consistently notice though the gg playthrough is that, the fucking music drives me nuts

there’s honestly like idk, three maybe FIVE TRACKS, I SWEAR, and they mostly play this really soft shit during most of the game and i HATE IT

there’s like absolutely no energy to it, and it just goes on and on through a majority of the game

and if it IS different songs, well they fucked up real well ‘cause it all blends together and i only recognize it as the one

like seriously... that one scene w/ the huge ship coming slowly from over a cliff, floating down gently, completely non-threatening, while PLEASANT AS FUCK music goes on... that’s basically the entire game. the music is so fucking boring and lame and uhhHHGGGGG
