I've been rather obsessed with Cadeyrn for the last few months after @icebrooding reminded me he existed. I've re-read the short stories of his upbringing so many times and it pains me how badly his family failed him, primarily out of their own ignorance of how the world works, and their own sense of pride. It really messed up his world view.
It's okay, he's got Bo now to help sort things out.
A picture I'm very happy with, with a bit of a sentimental story behind it! All you really need to know is this is to commemorate the support of my dear friend @thornandshield the past year.
A year ago I was very unfortunate for a month or two to be without my computer, my main creative outlet, and without a way to properly spend time with my friends outside of messages. The worst of it was being entirely on my own for several weeks.
During that time, I started watching the streams of my new friend to help me soldier through the boredom. Hearing the voices and seeing the fun of people I cared about made the isolation bearable.
Unable to use my tablet or draw anything digitally anymore, I went back to my roots and whipped out the old pen and paper, including a sort of collage image of a few of my friend's characters.
Today is their beloved character Novus's birthday. I wanted to commemorate it with something special by redrawing that original image and updating it with a few newer faces.
Thank you for being a great friend to me this past year, and enjoy your boy's birthday!
