Agricolan Vegetarian Ranchers

Agricola combines farming with lots of math, and I swear I’m not being sarcastic when I say it’s fun.

There’s an odd shortfall in five player games where there are only four fireplaces and ovens which let you cook animals. Which leads to situations like my starving vegetarian ranchers, bitterly learning to eat wood and clay while glaring at frolicking, ever-breeding herds of livestock. My farm could have fed McDonalds, and my farmers were staring at trees until they started to look tasty. What's even crazier is that two of those “fireplaces” were just fires with a pot over them. But my guys insisted on ingesting the wood instead of igniting it, because two other people had already thought of that. I can see them now. “The Jones and Smiths already have a fire, and we’re not going to be so gauche as to copy them! We have class! Now get back to eating your mud-dipped sticks!”
