My first two exams!!
Okay, so I know I have been have a lot of fun this past month, but school reared its head just in time to remind me that I have to buckle down and study. I had two exams this week; Intro to Psych and Physics. Being a premed kid, life can be challenging but it is worth it in the end (at least, I think so). As a practical tip for everyone that is reading this and possibly doing a study abroad experience in the future: it is VERY easy to lose focus and get distracted by all the cool and fun things that are always happening, and I really mean ALWAYS. So they best thing that I have found to do, is just to remove myself from all my friends and all possible sources of distraction.
1) Turn off Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc ... We have so many social media outlets nowadays that it become quite overwhelming.
2) Find that niche or quiet study space, where you know that you will get work done. If anyone out there is like me, I pretty much know how much I am going to be able to accomplish rom the second I sit down to start doing work. Finding a good spot is completely essential to getting anything done!
3) I have found my new BOBST!! It's called the Senate House Library, though. It is definitely no huge 13 story building in the middle of manhattan, but it is a really nice place to go get some reading done, write a paper, or study for those midterms that we sometimes don't really want to study for. The best part is that we have free memberships as part of our partnership with the University of London. Just go to the front desk, make a library card, and your good to go!
Just in case you wanted to know, my exams went well and I am looking forward to getting back some first grades!
