Two Observations: 1. Whoever said bodybuilders are not strong is full of shit. I've trained with 8 pros this year and this wasn't true one single time. 2. If you think you train hard you CAN train harder.

Supplements are just that: supplementary. If, for example (and I just saw someone post that they do this), half of your protein intake, which isn't super high to begin with, comes from protein powder, you may want to reconsider the definition of supplement.
