also me: holy shit you have the perfect body for vintage nurse Julia, just carve the neck on the china ultra pale 26cm body to see the proportions then paint it with that outdoor plastic furniture paint you got years ago.

painting is a bit messy so it takes two tries over 48h

me: omg omg it’s chipping a little, paint splattery in parts but it adhered to the vinyl parts and is manageable and you can always redo it, this is gonna be great, you did it!

*Gets back to bedroom, puts head on*

hahahahaha so close, so wrong, so very me to forget something vital.

Well internet friends, this $2.50 26cm pale body (often refered to as 11 joint) takes paint without stickyness as the vinyl parts are actually quite hard. The neck was thick with plastic but easy to carve. Joints are always going to be an issue with painted dolls but she’s a great repaint candidate. The carved neck even looks good with collector sized heads.

But i’m off to strip this body after telling my sister so she can pee herself laughing.
