If you like TWC here’s some other IFs that I can’t recommend enough!!!
OFNA: Birds of a Feather: You’re recruited into a cult secret society and from the word go you know there’s something fishy going on. Setting itself up to be full of mystery and intrigue. Also you get a little bird friend and 🥺💕.The author updates the demo on a monthly basis and I’m very invested in getting to the bottom of what’s going on.

Keeper of the Sun and Moon: After a a near death experience with a mythological creature, you discover that magic is real and are whisked away to New World Magi Academy. Tensions are brewing between angels and demons in the city and you’re about to get caught right in the middle. Usually I’m not a fan of books about school/college but I really enjoyed this one. The characters are all unique and it’s clear that the author has put a lot of thought into the world building/lore. A second book was released recently so I’m looking forward to playing that one next!!

Midnight hours: When Twilight Strikes: You’re a bounty hunter who’s responsible for taking in rogue supernaturals. Working for the International Agency of Supernaturals, you and your best friend and partner have become the best hunting duo there. When your boss disappears suddenly and is replaced by his friend, you wonder if there’s something bigger going on. I’m really loving this so far. Great representation among the ROs and romance wise it’s got everything you could ask for: enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, angst. The author is really giving us more than we deserve 😌 Definitely check this one out.

Scout: An Apocalypse Story: (Oh Hiatus) You’ve managed to survive a natural disaster that has completely wiped out civilisation. Living in a small community with other survivors you are mainly an academic. You put your skills to use on regular scouting missions with your best friend and scouting leader. When you meet the leader of another community on a scout what will happen? And what will you learn about the people who lead your own community.. I only found this game the other day and when I tell you I’m obsessed. It’s extremely well written and the concept is really interesting (although I do love anything to do with post apocalyptic/survival situations.) The real strength of this story is the romances. They flow very well and really feel genuine and natural. Honestly the first route I played MELTED my heart (Ezra I’d take a bullet for you). If you’re going to check out any of the stories in this list this is the one. The story is ongoing and I’m very excited to see where this one goes.

Bodycount: (On Hiatus) Sick of your boring life (shitty apartment, dead end job, zero love life) you find yourself convinced to join the cast of a new reality TV show. At the end of a show, the islanders vote for the couple most likely to last and they win £500,00. Additionally, the couple with the highest body count wins another £500,000. But what exactly do they mean by bodycount... Only two chapters of the demo have been released so far but I’m already obsessed with this story. I was so excited when I first read the announcement and the author definitely did not disappoint. I love the characters Griff and Arthur I’m talking directly to you and I feel like it’s going to to a perfect mixture of serious mystery and reality tv drama. Can’t wait for the next chapter!!

Mind blind: In this universe people are given a Pollard Score (rating their psychic abilities). No one has ever had a score of zero. Until you. With zero mental defences, anyone with a high enough pollard score can read your mind like an open book. Not exactly ideal. After an incident that sends your parents away, you live with your brother in order to keep you safe. The book follows your first year as a trainee at Unity, an international peacekeeping organization responsible for dealing with dangerous “Ments.” Can you finally prove yourself? Or will it be a disaster like things usually are… When I tell you I LOVE this story 🥺 I think it’s in my top three out of all the IF I’ve read. The characters are just so endearing I love love love them all. This is also one of the only pieces of media I’ve seen where a characters mental health is taken seriously and not just erased or forgotten about. It’s an issue that is addressed continuously. Don’t even get me started on the romances. You want friends to lovers? Big brothers best friend? Mutual pining? This book has it. Read. This. Novel.

Citadel: A Medical Romance Drama: You are a first year intern at Citadel hospital. In the near future medicine has changed drastically. Illnesses that were once fatal are now completely curable and it’s all thanks to Citadel hospital. But is there a secret hiding behind these medical miracles? I feel like medical dramas are just in a whole new level and this book is definitely no exception. Some of the romance routes are already pain and I love it. The fact that the author is actually a medical intern really adds a sort of authenticity. Also it’s very impressive that they have such a hectic career and still manage to post regularly. Literal superhuman

Scandal: Based in Washington DC, you are the best crisis manager in the game. Having worked in the White House, you were integral in the election of current POTUS Christian Anderson and you became very close with him and his wife Alcina. Maybe too close. You left the position shortly after the election. Two years later you get a call that will force you to return to the mess of a lifetime… This book currently stands at three chapter but when I tell you the drama is THROUGH the roof. If you love the pining/forbidden romance trope then this is definitely for you. I cannot wait for shit to hit the fan even more. The author is also very active on tumblr and posts loads of extra snippets/scenarios.

Myrk Mire: Set in a fictional version of old England where ‘folklore, spirits and bogeymen are far from mere stories told around the campfire to frighten the children.’ You are a lone traveller and sole carer of a young child. One day while walking home, the child spots something by the river bank. Upon closer inspection you realise it’s a body. What who are they? What will you do? And what are the consequences of your choice?: So far this demo only consists of a prologue and chapter one but it’s already amazing! We’re already beginning to learn the lore of this world, enough to keep you interested but not so much that it feels overwhelming or out of place. The ROs are already melting my heart and your interactions with the child are just 🥰🥰🥰. The chapter is also quite long which was great. Can’t wait for the next update!!!
