my super awesome meleeniacs lore theory

I think it's pretty obvious that there was a war of some kind on homeworld. The old world(?) map looks like some kind of war ravaged city. So my theory is that a war happened on homeworld with the robots and humans and this war destroyed most of homeworld, leaving the survivors to fend for themselves.

Out of the ashes of this war came SaFeL, a company that promised to rebuild the war ridden planet. They begin hiring people but they need resources to build homeworld back up again. SaFeL uses what little resources they have left to build an army of somekind to start taking over other planets. This is the war that Stocky was talking to Matador about. My guess is Mari-Anna and Stocky are war prisoners of somekind being forced to work at SaFeL. SaFeL starts gaining resources after possible successes and are able to begin rebuilding homeworld. The other maps are either other planets or possibly places rebuilt by SaFeL.

I have zero idea how beating each other has to do with the lore but possibly it's just competition for who brings the most raw material back for money. I can also bring up the human experimentation (Boggles) and maybe SaFeL pushing other companies out of the market to get a monopoly on the world (Diablo and Garbo and the lack of their original technology. Most of it being destroyed in war possibly) but I feel like I need more info for that.
