Sadie’s apt. is her sanctuary so it’s important that she creates a space that’s a special oasis. To her there is a sense of romance attached to textiles and sculptures from other countries, so that’s what she collects.

She’s been interested in other cultures and religions since her college days and always frequented stores that carried artifacts or products from exotic locales.

Plants aren’t the only ones that enjoy the sun streaming in, the cat looks so comfy, too.

I love the wallhanging above the table- it’s a smaller version of a wallpaper pattern, which is an more economical way to get the same effect in a smaller space.

The bedroom is so lovely- she uses book pages to accent the neutral tones in the room.

Nor was born in the former Soviet Union, but her family moved to Sweden when she was 3. This is her BoHo apt., filled with plants, dream catchers, and, (gulp!), a collection of taxidermy.

So, here in this corner, she has the bulk of the collection in a, (hmmm, judging by the variety of species, I can’t say jungle or forest), kind of an ersatz nature scene.

This thrifted chair fits well, but I can’t say that I love the fabric.

The kitchen is covered in huge sheets of music notes that must mean something.

Nor is a PR person, and this is her home office.

Her boyfriend is a tattoo artist and this is where he works, creating new designs.

The bedroom is sparsely decorated, but I applaud her for showing it to us with an unmade bed. You know, I try not to express when I don’t like something, but one of my followers commended me for doing so, the other day, and now I feel free to be a little snarky.

Natasha’s Bohemian 4th floor flat in Copenhagen is filled with collected goods from around the world.

BoHo decor and plants always go together. Natasha also loves to buy things, like the trunk coffee table, at flea markets.

You can tell that she travels the world by all of the clearly exotic pieces in the apt.

In the dining area, she just stapled a huge painting to wall w/o stretcher bars.

An adorable little industrial cart holds 2 rusty candlesticks next to the heat stove.

Multi- media artist Rachel’s Bohemian 3rd fl. apt. in Brooklyn, New York is a colorful jungle space filled with all of her beloved collaborations, collections and curiosities.

Rachel works in functional and sculptural ceramics, painting, prop styling and window design in New York City, so her home is a direct reflection of her work and style.

Rachel says her style has a mid-century modern-meets-vintage salon vibe.

Her biggest challenge is staying organized & battling clutter.

This second-hand desk is a prized work station for the artist.

Rachel collects and curates art from friends and mentors throughout her home.

It’s surprising that such a spacious apt. has such a tiny kitchen, but it seems workable.

The kitchen spills over into the art space.

She loves a great piece of vintage wood furniture and veers away from particle wood. It creates a richer palette and is a more eco-conscious way to approach a furniture collection. Buy objects and art that speak to you.

Her bedroom is a small, dark nook, perfect for a cozy night’s sleep.

The guest bedroom is filled with more abstract art.

Hildo’s 500 sq. ft. Brooklyn, New York apt. is an explosion of art and color.

From the moment she walked into the apt., it was love at first sight. As an artist, the walls are covered with her art, and when she finds or buys furniture or home decor, she always adds or changes something just to give it her own touch.

Hildo describes her style as artsy, boho, melting pot, and cozy, b/c it reflects the melting pot that is New York.

Her favorite room is the bedroom which was the first one she decorated.

Welcome to Louise’s, (aka “The Little Botanist”), lovely BoHo apt. in Copenhagen.

Louise says, “I love our living room, but wish it was bigger. With all our many plants, it can quickly seem packed, but I also think it helps to make it cozy.”

Louise's interior design advice is to make plants an active part of the decor, and it is important to her that the home is both vibrant, relaxing and soft.

She also always checks if things can be bought used before acquiring something new for the home.

Louise describes her style as bohemian / boho with lots of plants and recycled furniture.

The kitchen is very small, but the open shelving, filled with plants of course, is the room that gets the most likes on her instagram page.

Without enough closet space in the bedroom, Louise’s boyfriend hangs his clothes on open pipe racks.

When I saw the term “minimalist BoHo,” I couldn’t imagine what it could be. I always think of BoHo as bright colors, patterns, and maximalism, but Tara & Steven’s apt. in St. Louis, Missouri, is surprising lovely & tranquil.
