A theatrical artist’s unusual bohemian loft in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York.
Wire artist Marie and her husband found an old print shop in the middle of Paris, that made it look like they were in the middle of the countryside, so they bought it and turned it into a BoHo loft. Around a colorful coffee table, an oversized sofa is covered with cushions and blankets brought back from Morocco, while raw wood armchairs face it.
For the kitchen, Marie played on contrasts. She chose functional cupboards with fronts in very high-tech brushed stainless steel, with large designer handles, while the work top, made to measure, is in solid wood.
The bedroom is highlighted by the very light sand tone of the walls, the wooden elements stripped and left raw. The bamboo slatted partition wall is a creation by artist Antonis Cardew. The bedside tables, mottled, have been repainted in white.
These are a few of Marie’s wire sculptures which decorate the home.
A small corner of greenery has been set up on the terrace in back, which is a bonus outdoor space in the middle of a bustling city.

Textile Designer Caitlin’s cool BoHo loft apt. It’s one big room, but look at how organized it is, plus it’s a prime example of mix & match thrifted decor. (Notice the boiler in the corner.)
The kitchen area has my favorite black & white floor to separate the 2 spaces.
She made this big, whimsical sausage sculpture from one of her fabrics.
A partial wall for privacy separates the bedroom.
She likes the different whites in the bathroom and the way it looks in twilight. Hmmm...maybe I should embrace all the different white shades in my apt., too. Nah.

Beautifully Bohemian studio/loft apt. of artist Fia Cielen.
Books, plants, and vintage furniture.
Lots of interesting things in this corner.
And, a lovely, typically BoHo kitchen. Beautiful apt.

The beautiful BoHo home of photographer Carlota Santamaria. I’ve posted 2 of her rooms, before, but now I finally found the apt. they came from. I love when that happens.
After living in New York City for several years, she moved to this Los Angeles loft.
She’s also a creative director & conceptualizer, so this is her home office space.
This apt. is so BoHo, but Carlota was in born in Barcelona.
This is the room I posted before- her lovely shabby/BoHo bathroom.

Some cool BoHo ideas from a Philadelphia loft.
Lots of BoHo, Hippie-chic decor includes clothing on display and retro accents.
Colorful flags, clothing, jewelry and posters on an exposed brick wall.
And, old, worn chests for coffee tables.
Combining modern kitchens with vintage furnishings.
Gotta have a shawl.
Funky shoes out on display.
There’s a sleep loft, which explains the hammock downstairs- convenient place for a nap.
Renovated lofts usually have modern baths that can be decorated, too. This is lovely- it has subway tile, and exposed brick is painted white to match. Beautiful Bohemian look.

Cozy restored BoHo style loft- it’s only 500′ x 682′ but looks much larger.
