How does it work?
The SALUS RT310i is a Smart phone controlled programmable thermostat. The RT310i thermostat will switch your heating system on or off, as needed, in accordance with the temperature set by you, locally on the device or remotely using the dedicated app. Turning a room thermostat to a higher setting will not make the room heat up any faster. How quickly the room heats up depends on the design of the heating system, for example, the size of boiler and radiators. Neither does the setting affect how quickly the room cools down. Turning a room thermostat to a lower setting will result in the room being controlled at a lower temperature, and saves energy. A zone describes an area within your home in which you want to control the heating, lighting and any appliances. The Single Zone Solutuon means that every room within your zone will be heated to the same temperature and you do not need to fit any Thermostatic Radiator Control Valves. If you would prefer to have further control over the temperatures of different area's within your home (Bedroom and Kitchen) then you should consider looking at our Multiple Zone options.

Greenstar Si and i System boilers: manufactured from February 2011 onwards, models produced earlier than this date are not compatible.
Greenstar i Junior boilers: manufactured from July 2013 onwards, models produced earlier than this date are not compatible

The Smartphone app lets you control the iT500 remotely over the internet. You will have full remote accesss to your heating control, allowing you to make both temporary and program changes. Once you have registered your iT500 online, you can download the "SALUS iT500" App from the Apple Store (for iphone) or Google play (for android) depending on the type of smart phone your are using. Once the App has been downloaded, you can begin programming your iT500 system.
