I just dropped off some hot air balloon themed goodies to the 34th Street Market! (34th & Carr in Garden City, Idaho). Excited for the Spirit of Boise balloon festival next week. The Market will have Quiche and Mimosas on Thursday and Friday.

“Ne’er saw I, never felt, a calm so deep! The river glideth at his own sweet will; Dear God! The very houses seem asleep; And all that mighty heart is lying still!” — William Wordsworth Do you like poetry? I studied Wordsworth in England on a study abroad program and got to walk where he walked in Wales and follow his inspired paths up hills and mountains and by rivers. It was breathtaking. In a small way, I’ve found it here in our new life in Idaho now too. . I have always loved walking by and studying the water. Whether it’s the ocean, a pond like the one I grew up on (lagoon really) or the lovely Boise river, I adore the sound of the water and it does bring a sense of being centered and a listening happens. Those little positive whispers about joy and beauty can be found like the sparkles at sunset dancing on the water. I love playing with my camera on the frosted surfaces as winter settles in and takes root (scroll for the first icing of winter). . My words are coming back to life again and I’m so excited. The writing community here in Boise has been so welcoming (online) and other groups I’m in too…so I’m going to make a ripple in those dreams. My second book has been gathering dust for a bit, half-way complete so I’ll be using the early hours and sparkles I’ve gathered on these walks to put words on the page. Like many who need to write, I’m a better wife, mom, and daughter when I’ve spent time with the quiet creativity. . This holiday season is so different without a space of our own to decorate, it’s a bit freeing too. We already have our gift in the new year (new home - YAY!) and so everything is the cherry on top. Would love to find a home for my novel too…studying those river currents and hoping it finds a great home and agent soon! .
