That was such a good swim!

I swam for 40 minutes and I feel fucking amazinggggg. All my muscles feel alive, I love it! ❤

Haha my attempt of filming me swim totally failed. Oh well, I will have to bribe K to come to the pool with me this weekend and film me. 😬 we'll see how that goes.

Dinner was leftover chicken tinga on some onion buns. Basically Mexican pulled chicken sandwiches! I only had two because I wanted to have some snacks from our bokksu...

Mmmm Japanese snacks, so good. I'm not sure how I'm going to track these snacks but I kind of don't care at the moment 😂

Also- K and I shared all of this so it's only half as bad 😬😬👌

I did a Bokksu unbokksing! (The jokes, they are unending. It’s also really temping to just say ‘I did an unBokksing, but this was getting redundant.)

The idea: you get a whole bunch of Japanese sweets and snacks that you might not easily get in the states. But are they worth the money? I feel like that’s going to depend both on what box you get and if you can share it. Because the magic here is in trying everything together with friends.

Bokksu Subscription Box - May 2019 Tour of Japan

Here is part two of May 2019’s Bokksu subscription box. Again, not sponsored.

Takoyaki Corn Puffs - Not much of a fishy flavor which I enjoyed, but a super crispy texture and mild corn flavor. Perfect for eating a whole bag without regrets. 5/5

Hokkaido Cheese Mochi Puffs - I was expecting this to be just a cheese puff but it’s super airy and crisp. Has a nice, non chemical cheese flavor. Actually melts in your mouth. 5/5

Seaweed Tempura with Sudachi - Very citrusy and salty, but after it got moistened with saliva the seaweed stuck to the roof of my mouth. 3/5

Kabukiage Rice Crackers Shiquasa Salt - Extremely citrusy, nice and light and crispy, a little bit salty. A pungent aftertaste of lemony fruit. Alarming for the first bite, but strangely addicting. 4/5

Strawberry Kirara - Best sweet snack in the box. Tastes like classic strawberry milk with a shortbread strawberry cookie. Has a nice tart strawberry flavor and super creamy filling. 5/5

Mystery Item - With the power of the google translate app and taking pictures of the back, these should be chocolate and strawberry candy coated black soy beans from the Hokkaido region. After tasting them, I seem to be correct! The outer coating has a nice strawberry flavor followed by a coating of dark chocolate, but there isn’t much of a flavor elsewhere. Not bad by any means, but nothing standout as far as a bonus item. 3/5

Pure Gyukoro Green Tea - Might as well include it since it was in the box. It smelled like lawn clippings. I did not taste this. N/A/5
