We may have no left the room, but don’t worry, there’s still over, like, ten thousand pictures coming. Very VERY slowly.

I love this little painting in the room so much I once tried to write a book that opened with a description of it.
Hello lamp.
One last look out at the garden.
Goodbye room!
The nice little cabinet. I’m also now aware these photos all show up normally. And I’m just too lazy to notice.
Everything here was nice, it would have been neat to use it all but when it was our one time in Kyoto we didn’t prioritize the room.
See, I’m not too lazy to fix this, the ryokan was actually built upside down.
Not sure why this last picture of the garden is sideways on tumblr and not on my computer or phone...
Nice little piece of art in the bathroom.
I’ll miss you toto most of all.
This is the way to turn on the lights in the room if I remember correctly! It stops you from forgetting your key, kind of. I think a few other hotels we stayed in over in Japan had this but I’ve never seen it elsewhere.
What is this? I like it.
Oh, it’s just a cabinet?
I still like it.
Hello ryokan. I hope you didn’t close down during COVID.
Here’s a picture of the ground. It’s a nice ground.
In retrospect I really wish we’d spent more time not just in Kyoto but in our nice little area of it, though the way our trip worked out it was rather impossible to pull off. I think I had to fight to spend time here at all.
This place is freaking gorgeous.
Kyoto is very photogenic.
