What is Linglesou?
To my knowledge Linglesou acts as a magician or guide, very much like Anubis in the pyramid mysteries. This is what is known as a psychopomp, a guide (figuratively and ritually) that guides you to spiritual awakening. The voudun/vodoo/vodou connections to freemasonry in my opinion, are related to the specific voudun ritual where this loa will use a sharp instrument upon the heart of the initiate, signifying Metanoia (Greek word where repentance comes from) which means a change of heart, or rather, the Houngan or Mambo/a changes their focus in life to the spiritual and for the Good of All. This guide, loa, ritual spirit, psychopomp will lead you to the glory of the light, or, if you break your oath, and become a force for evil or darkness, like a Bokor, or Caplata, will strike you down, cut your flesh from its bones and take you back to whence you came, to the earth in darkness. Now, please forgive my ignorance, for I am not a practitioner of the Voudun religion and only know certain things about it. It would be better to learn from someone or read sources written by better informed people who know more then me. I try to study all religions of the world whereever they may be in time and space, but obviously my knowledge is not complete (nor will it ever be). My recommendation would be to learn from a Houngan, they would likely be able to tell you more. Check out my psychopomp tag, vodou and houngan tags, as well as the anubis tag, or the dog star tag. I think Linglesou essentially, is a ritual guide to the elevation of the mind and spirit, towards a force of good. This is literal and figurative or allegorical. In the ritual it is likely (I do not know for sure) that linglesou will guide the initiate through the ritual, and this is reflected as the Sirius star or North star, the star of Bethleham, guiding the Three Kings towards Light. To my mind its all kinda the same thing wrapped up in different packages, for these ideas and rituals are actually thousands of years old, but retold for the context of the times and the peoples in a particular area. Again, my knowledge of Vodun is very limited! These are just my current opinions, they may change tomorrow or whenever I acquire new information. It is my opinion that the voudun religion is a gnostic one, so also check out my gnostic or gnosis tag as well. Again! I do not know much. Please find a Houngan or Mamba etc. who really knows the ins and outs and details of this loa and all the other loas and really knows the Vodun religion! My knowledge is simply rudimentary. Hopefully this has helped guide you to more light!
Úgy érzem magam, mint az utolsó szál rózsa a bokron. Lehet hogy szép, de kurva magányos.
