Cleavers and Boxcutters // C-ta + Rena
For a while now, she had known that she was going to have roommates, which hopefully were around her age. But, it seemed that each time she had been at the apartment- none of them seemed to show up. The unfortunate truth being that she was starting to grow a little lonely without the daily club interaction she had back in Hinamizawa. Not only that, but she had yet to sign up for classes- which added to the mild boredom.
Instead, the girl with a rather small frame sat in front of the coffee table. Silently laying out bruised, marked, and bent up playing cards upon the table's smooth surface. She had taken some deck of the cards from the club room before leaving Hinamizawa. Granted that she had missed her friends back in her small little town- but she had to come to this city. Of her own free will. It was to gain a fresh new start, at least that much she could do for herself.
Rena just wasn't prepared to hear the clicking of the door unlocking, and the handle squeaking as it turned. In her seat, she straightened up- silently watching the door carefully. Her eye focused and she internally debated on rising from her seat to greet her roommate, or not. Nervousness left words lodged into her throat.
Welcome- no... say hi..
She bullied herself to speak at the least. A bit of a greeting would be better than the awkward stare she knew she was about to give the stranger. Her mind simply too cluttered with different thoughts, which were unsettling to say the very least. The teen's attention was once again drawn to the door itself as it was slowly opened. With the silent carefulness that would make her think that perhaps the other would set off a trap. but as soon as the male before her set foot in the doorway- Rena's mind began drawing blanks.
"Uhm-..." Was all that managed to leave her.
