Just as predicted, Rena was a rather heavy and immobile sleeper. Surprisingly enough there was so much fuss that no one thought to check on her anyway. But waking up to loud noises anyway was strange.
What happened?
True to Renaâs shock, his room was reassuringly clean. Arguably, the only messy thing would be the bed, which wasnât yet laid out after heâd woken up earlier out of discomfort. Briefly, he had to wonder if sleeping with another person would actually mend it, or alleviate his defeated conscious from before, but only because the redhead-brunet had mentioned it might help her sleep, too. The only time heâd ever felt such relief was when he slept with his best friend, and even then, he supposed that may have been a result of childhood nostalgia.
No, perhaps he just wasnât one for the sentiment at all. The more he thought about it, the less he became attracted to the idea. âAh, I donât knowâ maybe Yusuke did? From the looks of things, my room does seem like the biggest.â In reality, his poor taste in interior design just made his room look spacier than the rest. Sitting down on the edge of the bed, C-ta flattened out the sheets on the other end.
"Haha, sorry⌠since Iâm not that good with girls," He bitterly admitted in embarrassment. "I find it hard to talk with them casually."
She seemed to show interest in some little keychain hanging from his bag. Although late- Rena's sight for something cute never fails. However, seeing as they're already home, she couldn't really do much about 'taking it home' with her. Regardless, she smiled and held it between her finger tips.Â
"This is a cute doll, C-ta-kun~" She giggles a bit, and before long she turns her head at C-ta's statement. He looked like he was telling the truth, so it seemed a little puzzling to her.
"But C-ta-kun is very nice to me... C-ta-kun even let's me sleep next to him when I can't sleep myself. That's very nice of him." Was she speaking in third person again? She had a tendency to switch between the way she spoke with others at times.
She stood up and made her way towards the bed, sitting at the edge next to him. "I think you're good with girls, C-ta-kun. Even you talk casually with B-ko-chan. You're friends, and you tease her. You talk casually with me, don't you?"
gal pal || hidenori & rena
It seemed Rena was exhausted as he was, and he felt guilty for making her so weary. However, being tired was better than being beat up by some punks, he decided. âN-no⌠problem,â he gasped out, continuing to stay in his position on the floor.Â
He stayed there, on his hands and knees, for a couple more minutes until his breathing leveled and his heartbeat returned close to its normal rate. With a bit of effort, he stood back up and faced Rena. Perhaps it was time to go to the food court to replenish their energy. Even a smoothie at this point would be fine.Â
"L-letâs go to the food court, yeah? Donât wanna play at the arcade with a dry throat and empty stomach!" And then he proceeded to walk in the exact opposite way of the food court. Amazing navigational skills.Â
She giggled a little, standing in place as Hidenori seemed to inquire about the food court. Sure, after all that running she could go for a bit of food. And perhaps a milkshake if she was really hungry at the very least. But when she saw that her friend was facing the wrong direction she began to worry a bit.
"Hi-kun~ That's the wrong way!" She slid her dainty fingers against his palm, and curled them around his hand. She let out another soft giggle before pointing towards the right direction of the food court.
"It's this way! Come on! Come on~" She tugs his hand a little to lead them towards the right direction. Because at least then they wouldn't be wasting as much time having fun as they would be getting lost.
"How much space you take didnât bother me, reallyâŚ" Heâd already decided after thinking about it that he was probably going to take up more of the bed than Rena ever would.
It was still strange though, wasnât it? B-ko would no less strike him as weird for letting a girl sleep in the same bed as him. Accuse him of taking advantage of her fears or something, but given C-taâs lack of er, interest in girls in general, more awkward around them than attracted, he clearly didnât have those intentions.
So, without much further interruption of their plans, he nudged open the door of his room and held it in place, giving a reassuring smile to calm her fidgeting.Â
She nods, and as he suspends the door she shuffled through. Actually, she's never been in C-ta's room before has she? It certainly wasn't what she expected anyway, it was a lot neater than she would've thought. But then again Keiichi was the same way- his room wasn't messy at all. Perhaps that was just a dumb story girls told one another. In reality, Mion's room was way messier than this.
"C-ta-kun, I think you got the biggest room, didn't you? Didn't you?" A sleepy sort of enthusiasm- but nevertheless she shuffled her way further into the bedroom. "C-ta-kun is very nice to me." She declares the statement quite proudly... At least after seeing how badly he teases B-ko.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" A rather... sudden shriek from the kitchen itself indicated the residents of the apartment that Rena was now home with some new treasure she's either found or purchased on the streets.
Hopefully, it wasn't another person...
She's so cute, like a doll // D-ne + Rena
D-ne couldnât shake the feeling that she was being stared at. Normally D-ne was pretty unflappable, but a persistent chill kept creeping up her spine and rendering her anxious. She was uncharacteristically tense, holding her pencil with white knuckles and subtly bounding her foot under the bench she sat at. She couldnât do her homework like this..! But she didnât want to risk looking around in case those around her thought she looked suspicious. D-ne was the type to linger in the background, not draw attention to herself.
Yet someoneâs attention was directly on her⌠She was sure of it! She had no other reason for feeling this paranoid!
As soon as she pulled together the resolve to stand and leave the area, the brunette who snuck up to her side spoke and D-ne nearly jumped out of her skin. The violette didnât make a sound, rather jerking to look up at the other girl with wide eyes, but she was visibly surprised by the other, despite her soft voice and stuttering.
Releasing a breath, D-ne peered at the brunette reluctantly.
"Well, IâŚ" she started, voice trailing away. D-ne took a moment to lick her lips and straighten up. "I was just doing ⌠my homework⌠Perhaps another timeâŚ?"
Rena was disappointed. Why was this even a suggestion? This shouldn't even be an option- taking a person away off into the distance for some fun was a little more than exciting. Like this is embarrassing! It made her realize that she didn't even know the girl. But oh- she looked so cute. Like a doll. The clothes she wore, her long hair, her eyes. If Rena wasn't keeping C-ta's harsh scolding in mind she would have already snagged the girl's hand and protested. But something seemed to have occurred to her.
This girl went to school with her, didn't she? So they must have been around the same grade- so whatever homework that she had, Rena must have lying around some where, right? Unless this girl was in advanced classes. The thought simply left Rena rather dizzy with sudden unease. Where was this nervousness even coming from?
"U-Uhm well... I could help!" She announced rather suddenly, pulling a knuckle to her chin. Her skinny legs shuffling along with her feet, impatiently. She wanted an answer, but she also didn't want an answer.
"Y...You're just really cute, is all..." Silently her eyes darted left and right, attempting to find something to focus onto. However, with no hope, she cast them down to her feet. Playing with her delicate fingers in the process as they settled behind her back. "I wanted to be friends.."
She's so cute, like a doll // D-ne + Rena
She's been staring at this girl for quite sometime. Suppressing whatever urge she had to lift her up and take her back home- reminding herself of C-ta's scolding very well.Â
Do no kidnap people anymore, got it?Â
Well, that was just the first portion, only remembering the second bit about actually talking to someone who looked cute- instead of kidnapping them. So she slowly approached the girl who dressed herself like a doll.
"U-Uhm... W-Would you like... to.. uhm... hang out.. uhm.."Â
This was worse than kidnapping...
Un, now at least he wouldnât be dragged again. A-ya got a relief by deciding to move to PeonyâŚwho would say that it would make him safer. Living in another building would be something suffering, thatâs if Rena was even going to let him go back to his room. He wasnât going to hate the girl at all costs or something, maybe just get annoyed.
"âŚItâs okay." A-ya let out a sigh. Not really okay, since when dragging someone like that was normal? âŚBut, after all what happened to A-ya so far, maybe it can turn into something normal at some point.
"UhâŚhave you ever heard about occult gamesâŚ" Letâs take a chance to at least have a bit of fun.
Well, Rena didn't always do things like this- but unfortunately for her she had a tendency to find strange items and tokens exciting and 'cute' for her. She couldn't help it- and having seen A-ya as some what of strange and perhaps 'exotic', she couldn't really keep her hands off.
C-ta probably would have lectured her once more about the dangers of bringing strangers into their apartment, but little did she know that A-ya and C-ta were rather... close?
But on the subject of games, she was feeling rather excited. But occult games? They weren't something that she would play. Her raging paranoia seemed to keep her far far away from things like that. Luckily, she didn't exactly know the true definition of 'occult' and agreed. It was more likely a recipe for disaster- but A-ya didn't know that. No one did. Rena hardly knew it herself.
"Occult games? No sorry- I haven't played games like that. But if A-ya wants to play occult games then let's play occult game. I think I heard C-ta-kun mention something like that." Perhaps this experience will be fun after all. At least for one of them.
Real Life Quest (to find a queen for teh lolz) // Rena + Lelouch
The sudden intrusion of the student was an unexpected occurrence, and a rather unwelcome one as well. Though Lelouch didnât think anything of the situation with him and Rena alone, detrimental rumors were something he wished to avoid. He also didnât want Rena to feel uncomfortable about the entire thing because such would lead to undesirable results as well. He couldnât have his relationship with in-game partner deteriorate.Â
It seemed, however, the damage was done as he saw Rena rush into the corner, redness visible on her face. Lelouch lifted himself up into a sitting position, a tiny gasp of pain escaping his mouth as he moved his possibly bruised upper body. He made a mental note to exercise and strengthen himself so these kinds of aches could be avoided all together.
His gaze fixed onto the embarrassed girl, and he felt an ounce of pity. Standing up, he first climbed onto the latter and took down the things that needed to be removed. Next, he went over to Rena in the corner. He decided touching her shoulder to get her attention wouldnât be the best course of action.
"Everything is all done now. Letâs go home, alright?"
Rena hadn't really thought of things that way- but even with her slight naive out-ward appearance, she could still catch onto things pretty fast. This was actually a leak in the wall that she built, and things were happening much too fast for her to catch up.
Alas, she knew the poor fellow that had walked in- and she had a sort of strange relationship with him. Although, she only considered them as awkward friends with not vary many romantic interest kept in mind, (Perhaps if it were a Sunday that would be a different story). She felt embarrassed because she should have to explain to him that she had fallen- and hopefully something like this wouldn't absolutely destroy the image he had of her previously.Â
That was all she was thinking, but the feigning innocence had resurfaced just as she pulled herself into the corner to consider her options. She didn't have many other than giving explanations, or avoiding Hidenori all together. She nibbled slowly on her lower lip before Lelouch grasped her attention with his voice once more.
"Oh- uhm... yes.. Sorry.." She mentioned slowly, noticing that what she had sought to bring down on her own had been brought down by her trusted partner. As usual, even when she attempted and failed, he brought himself to find a solution. She glanced at him a few times before allowing her eyes to stare at her feet for a moment or too. "Uhm yes.. uhm.. let's go.."
Real Life Quest (to find a queen for teh lolz) // Rena + Lelouch
"H-hey donât keep trying, itâs dangerous," Lelouch tried to say, but his warning came a little too late. Rena slipped and fell, an expected result. He reacted quickly, or, as quickly as he could, to try and catch the falling girl. His goal was achieved, but he had acted as a cushion rather than actually trying to catch her.Â
So now they were on the floor, Rena laying on top of Lelouch, who did his best to try and hide the pain and discomfort caused by being a cushion. If she lifted her head a bit, they would be face to face. âY-you shouldâve waited a bit,â he said in a pained tone.Â
While he was sure he didnât break any bones, Rena didnât weigh that much, it didnât help to dissipate the pain and pressure on him. He tried to remove the pressure, the otherâs body. He placed his hands on her shoulders and gently tried to push her up so that her entire body weight wasnât on him.Â
Though, once Rena was supported by her own arms, did their compromising nature of their position reveal itself. He wasnât all that embarrassed about it, having experienced this kind of thing before. It brought an overwhelming sense of deja vu. âAh, we should get our work done.â
Well, she's been in situations like this before, but Lelouch was more of a stranger than anything. And slowly she rose with the slight pressure applied from his own hands. She feels horribly guilty about all of this. Unsure if she should move, what should she say anyway?
"O-Oh! I'm so sorry!" She sat up straight rather than actually attempting to roll off of him. For the most part she had to make sure that she didn't completely crush him underneath her to begin with. But Rena was a particularly skinny girl- so there was no insanely worrisome issue about falling on top of him.
Pressing her small little palms on his chest to make sure that he could still feel something as she sat up, she tried to nudge him- as if he had been knocked out. Although, she could've just noticed that his eyes were open.
But the most panic came when the door to the classroom was thrown open. Some student announcing to the teacher that he was here to make up a test and-.... Well, there they were. And sure enough Rena averted her gaze. The compromising and suggestive position already would've gotten the two of them in trouble, but goodness gracious this was already too much. She swallowed hard and heard the other stumble over words before quickly darting away.
Slowly but surely Rena slipped off of Lelouch and slinked into a corner of the room where she could simply collect herself from this sudden embarrassment. Perhaps she shouldn't have let the determination of getting the job done rule over this.
Real Life Quest // Rena + Lelouch
In response to her answer âI didâ, Lelouch grew a little curious. Unless there was some school wide or city wide exclusive forum, he couldnât quite think of any possible explanation that would fit her image. Or, perhaps, he just didnât know her true character just yet.Â
And he seemed to grow more curious about the girl whom he called his partner.Â
"Yeah, it would be hard to coordinate in-game. We could totally miss each other even if we do everything right," he said with a chuckle, hiding his darker curiosity. A personâs true colors couldnât be simply extracted through direct means, and, additionally, a friendship with Rena didnât seem like that bad of an idea. They trusted each other at least in-game. That trust could easily be formed offline as well.
A few more sweeps and he was finished with cleaning the floor. He was about to ask if there was any other work to do (since he came late), and he saw Rena struggling with a particularly high project that was just out of her reach. Walking up next to her, he let out a playfully condescending chuckle. âNeed a little help?â
Rena knew quite a bit- and her curiosity had lead her into a Dollars forum. People had been talking about such a game left and right and it continued to leave her curious until she finally opened up a tab. She started playing for a bit- and she met Lelouche there. And it was funny that he hadn't known that the server he was on, was usually kept in access to the Dollars forum members that actually played the game itself.
But that part alone- Lelouche didn't need to know about Rena's tools of trade, and her associates. It was fun just like this.
She looked down at him, her hand moving a little to shyly shield from peaking eyes- just in case there was anything to show from the ladder itself. Quietly she nodded a bit.Â
"It's too high up- I can't reach it.." She tried stretching once more. Attempting to balance on the step- but she lost her footing. And the rest of that moment? That was up to Lelouche.
"It is! Sure, Iâll show you!" The excitement radiating from the girl is enough to lift his spirits even higher; who knew a simple game and the prospect of learning it could ignite such a flame? How cute, seeing her eyes light up in that way.
"Eh? A wager? Sure, what should we bet?"
She was into the idea of creating another bet with someone. And usually she doesn't lose. If she had lost- then there would be no pressure, no excitement. But this was fun.
"If I win you have to dress like a girl..." She beams at him, although giving him the silent confidence he needed. "If I lose, I'll do and wear whatever you want- and I'll have to call you 'master', okay?"
Spending all our time [@cutethatkills]
"Ah?"
He leans out from around a corner. Was she here already? He turns around and goes over himself once. Way underdressed.
"Rena!? Wait a minute!" Syo starts scampering around the apartment, quickly snatching up pants and a shirt as he does.
She waits at the door for him, humming a little and swaying as she listened to him jostle through his things and fumble around in his apartment. She was early, but hearing just how excited Syo was helped relaxed her.
"Hurry~ Hurry Syo-kun! Or I'm gonna leave you behiiiind~"Â
She chimes in, her way of making a little joke before the other boy totally freaks out. She made stomping noises, meant to sound like they would get farther and farther away. But in reality she was by the door way- just on in front of it. Syo would probably run straight out without seeing her there- she assumed.

"YOU'RE LYING HIDENORI-KUN!!!"
Unfortunately, Hidenori had made the attempt to hide a surprise party for this darling little girl. He was being dodgy- and right off the bat she was feeling like Hidenori wanted to part from her. She was upset, and just as upset she was- she made the attempts at discovering just what he was hiding- or where he was going when he said that he had to avoid their meetings.
